Q: Does this only hold two reeds?

It holds 4 reeds- 2 on one side, 2 on the other. Conveniently, the little "chambers" are numbered 1234, so you can easily keep track of which Reed is the current favorite.

Q: Will this reed guard hold contrabass clarinet reeds? They are slightly larger than bass clarinet reeds

They hold my bass clarinet reeds very well if not much bigger I say they will but I don’t know how big contranbass reeds are ...I also use a fibracell reed and plastic reeds if that helps any

Q: How do you clean the inside of the case?

I use the reed holder. My normal procedure is to rinse my reeds clean after use and then wipe reed down and put in case. The case can be cleaned by running and swishing warm soapy water through it and then rinse with clean water. Let air dry.

Q: What size is this? It doesn't state if it is small for alto or large for tenor.

If you read the product description, it says there are two sizes. Small is for alto, large is for tenor.
