Vintage Classics = revised Muir translation. Penguin Modern Classics = Underwood.
The Vintage Classics translation of The Castle is a revised and expanded version of the classic Muir translation. The text now includes material revealed in the 1951 edition. Amazon mentions this edition as the JA Underwood translation, but that is NOT the case. The JA Underwood edition, published in the Penguin Modern Classics imprint, is the latest restored edition as of 2017, translated from the edition prepared by Michael Paisley including material previously unavailable until recently.

It is an outstanding book by an Amazing Author. I am an Author myself and one of my books, namely "Kamayakshipuram", had been compared to "The Castle" by Franz Kafka by an literary critic. I bought the book to see where the similarity begins, and where it ends. I could locate the common vein and the common thread.

Pretty cover but seems like an older book
Pretty cover (more credits to the designer than the store) but its an old book with some animal droppings smashed on it lol.
