Great for blue light reduction in the home.
I recently purchased four of these bulbs in an attempt to cut out blue light indoors during the evening hours. Having done plenty of research I went beyond the bulbs marketed for that purpose and chose to go with these amber bulbs. I love them and have noticed that if I stay off my devises I get sleepy earlier than if I were using standard lighting. I will be ordering more for lamps in other rooms. Hurray for melatonin! If you are interested in using them in this manner, be aware it is amber light and will take some getting used to.

Best on Amazon so far
As of Dec 2016 these are the best nighttime lighting option on Amazon. There are many lamps that claim be low in blue light but are really more like "medium" blue light (GE Align for example). This is the real deal with an actual amber LED rather than a warm white with an amber filter. Yes it it is orange/yellow and it does take some getting used to. Yes it really does make a difference!
