We have an extremely humid bathroom that is about 11' X 8', and a bad mold problem. Would this unit be big enough to deal get rid of moisture?

For an 11 x 8 bathroom, you would be better served with a slightly larger unit, or perhaps using two might get the job done. They can be discretely placed as humidity festers high and low.
- I was surprised how well these cheap dehumidifiers perform.  The space I use it in is 5x5x8' tall.  My Florida home had a built in emergency space converted to a high security arms vault. I used to use Damp Rid and electric dehumidifier wands (which is just a heating element) to keep this space dry.   This device has paid for itself 100x over my costs of using Damp Rid over the years.

The device I use I modified slightly so that it never will shut off when the tank is full. I simply added a secondary external tank with the unit on top of the secondary tank, with a stepped overflow drain tube, that drains into the secondary tank which holds just over a gallon. The tubing I used is impregnated with silver, as mold and silver are arch enemies.

i can't get the lid off the water tank. The lid is very tight. i can't get it off.  is that normal or do you just empty it by draining it upside down?

I have the same problem. There is mold inside the water reservoir and I can't remove the lid to clean it. Just removing the drain plug doesn't allow for proper cleaning.

If i run this unit 24-7 what re going to be my approx cost in running the electric?  i'm in florida so it will need to run 24-7...

Someone said that it uses 20 watts.  If your power costs are $.10/kwh (around what we pay here in Idaho, I don't know what you pay in Florida), then expect to pay about $1.50/month.  My math: 720 hours (approximate hours in a month) * .02 kilowatts (same as 20 watts) * $.10 kwh  = $1.44.  You can change those variables if my assumptions are wrong.
