Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  This is my initial review for the Solar String Lights Outdoor and I'll continue updating it as I use it.Great set of solar string lights that will look great around a patio, deck, or around the perimeter of an Easy-Up shelter. If you are looking for lights that will light a path or patio for safety reasons, then you need to consider the hassles of AC powered lights. These lights do throw a good amount of light, once you get the battery fully charged. They also look great with the Edison style bulbs and LEDs. Setup was fairly easy but it did take some time to untangle all of them, as you see in the video and pictures. There did not seem to be any protective film on the solar panel and mine did have a couple of rub marks but they do not seem to be interfering with the solar charging. In my opinion, proper installation would involve stringing the lights on a support cable that would bear most of the weight of the lights, which is shown in the product pictures but not mentioned in the instructions.Be sure to follow the instructions carefully and put the switch in the ON position, especially during the initial charging, also make sure to charge it over USB first as I didn't know it was important to do so, as mine wasn't working at all until I did the initial charge then it was working flawlessly. Another thing that is not mentioned in the instructions is that the solar unit has a light sensor so that the lights will automatically turn on at dusk and will then be recharged during the next day.I temporarily strung them across the overhang on my deck to see how they looked and my wife thought they were the cutest thing ever and my son wanted to take them for his paper castle lol. When I install them properly later in the Spring, I guess I'll have to put a pad lock on the hanging cable and power lineP.S. I ordered 2 sets. One works fine with the solar panel and lights, while the other solar panel does not. I used the same solar panel with both sets of lights to ensure it wasnt the lights. And learned both sets of lights work, but one solar panel does not. Contacted the company who wasnt helpful and provided troubleshooting info that I had already told them I tried. Asked if they can send a new one, but they only repeated the same thing, which is to ensure the switch is turned on. Returning one. Otherwise, only one I have works fine.

I bought these lights to replace the ones I bought before, because they only lasted about 2-3 hours. These lights last 6-8 when it is nice, and sunny out, very durable, and good customer service.I did have a problem when I got them, all the bulbs were badly scratched. I immediately emailed Fmixlight, to let them know, and asked for them to just send me replacement bulbs, no need to send a whole new set. They responded within a couple hours, apologizing, and were professional. They ended up sending me more then enough good replacement bulbs. So all together my experience with them was a good one.

I bought these as a replacement set for a shorter set I had for a few years...-The cord is thinner Han the old set (plus in my book)-great length!- the bulbs are clear and sharp (I think even more so than my old set when it was new)-They worked well right away. I loved the feature to charged them with an outlet prior to use. The solar feature is great and what I use- but it’s great to be able to charge them out fo the box to get them up and rolling the first day.Cons: the bulbs are farther apart (distance bulb to bulb) in comparison to my last set- I actually doubled them back on each other to make more light.

We have several string lights around the house, including a string of Fmix lights in the front that we are really happy with. We've wanted to try solar lights, so since we had previously purchased from Fmix before, we gave this product a try.We chose a location that got plenty of sun (we have 6 large Live Oak trees on our property which limits the amount of sun). But the location was also perfect since it would have been difficult to get a set of string lights out there if we had to plug them in.Installation was a breeze, it took about 20 to 30 minutes max. We will need a few more days to see how well the solar panel will recharge the battery. We gave it a full charge using the USB port and a battery pack on the first day. The lights are nice and bright, and even the next morning, they were still on, though very dim. I'll post an update after a week or two to see how it performs in real world conditions. So far, we are really happy with them!!

What sold me on these lights was the almost 7 feet lead from solar panel to first light.The other thing I didn’t want all the lights to function so unscrewing a few bulbs the others still work. So far I’m getting 8 hours of light on solar charge per day. This is Blue Sky Arizona so no rain or clouds yet. Maximum charge netting 8 hours. I did use the usb for the initial charge making sure the switch was set to on so the batteries would charge as instructed. Oh by the way the flashing light setting is ridiculous who on this earth would use that function? Not me!!

These are my first solar lights and I think they are fantastic. They are perfect for the backyard/firepit area. They give a similar glow to my electric Edison bulbs and are just about as bright. They stay on all night. I am very pleased with these lights. All my guests wanted the link to them!I mainly chose these due to the longer length between the panel and the first bulb as compared to other brands. I also like the usb charging option for if it’s a cloudy day, and that I can turn them on/off. Not sure I’ll ever use the flashing mode. I plan to get more of these for other areas of the property.
