Wood Lathe Chuck Set 1" x 8 tpi， 4 inch 4 jaw self-Centering Woodturning Chuck for Lathe

The product was of high quality at a reasonable price. The chuck is used on my wood lathe to hold material as I shape it.

My only complaint is it didn't come with any paperwork. This being the first chuck I've bought I've had to figure things out on my own.

I used this on a walnut and Hickory candlestick. First I turned a 2.5-in journal on the end of my workpiece with a live Center. Then I remove the live Center installed the chuck and clamped it down tight on the journal and it worked like a charm. Excellent value for the money and you can tell this product is well engineered and I look forward to using it for years and years

Only problem I had was while it was still brand new the oils used to keep it nice kept letting things vibrate lose but after the 3rd day of use it started keeping itself tight and works great now I never even touched a thing to correct it, just kept tightening it back up over 3 or 4 projects I did on it now I tighten it down and get to work no problems.

I have only used this a few times at the time of this review.The quality of the different jaws seem to be high quality and the chuck itself is machined very well.The gear mechanisms to adjust the jaws is Clunky for lack of a better word not smooth. not necessarily bad just not smooth like my Nova Chucks. all and all seems very good for the money.

Purchased this kit to pair with recent Wen bench top lathe. Item came in well constructed and organized storage case. Chuck is rock solid, smooth to adjustt. Adapters for various applications are easy to install, fit squarely and precision machined so any give or wobble is totally non-existent. Really price to value purchase and highly recommended.

The description says it's a Record Power but it is not the quality you would expect from them. It's made in China of course. This has some nice jaws and the gears are covered but turning the wrench to tighten or loosen you can hit catches. The gears do not mesh smoothly and stick. I have another chuck from RP and it is smooth and durable. Not like this chuck at all. The wrench itself is made out of stainless steel which turned out be an issue because it won't stick to the magnets on my lathe like all my other keys do. Not a big deal but it wasn't convenient.
