Great novelty if you have a sense of humor. I do. I hung three of these from our living room ceiling - we have a very high ceiling. I found small pirate figures on Amazon, and shaped them to fit in the baskets. I boiled two of the figures to soften them and made them seem like one was clinging to a rope while the other was clambering into the basket as though the basket took off without them. The other figures are watching below with their swords and knives. These guys have become part of the family and my daughter sometimes greets them when she gets up in the morning. The balloons are well made - one dropped from 10 feet, bounced, and no damage. My wife was a bit reluctant to hang these things, but she came around and our guests love them. They create a fun atmosphere that appeals to me. They may be more appropriate in a kid's room, but I never grew up so they are appropriate to me.

I purchased this for my Wizard of Oz themed office and it is definitely a great addition! It’s beautiful and reminds me of the movie. However, it IS small. I had read reviews that it is small but by golly it most definitely is. I don’t think it’s worth $25 but there’s nothing else like it out there so I didn’t return it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was looking for a gift to commemorate a recent hot air balloon festival that we attended and this was spot on to one we actually saw.

We first thought of using this multicolor vintage-style balloon as a Christmas decoration (and we are, by placing Santa beanie baby in the basket), but it would be fantastic without him at any time of year. Also, you could place a leprechaun in it for St. Patrick’s day, or a bunny for Easter, or Uncle Sam for July 4th, or a goblin for Halloween…The item is very well-made with fine details all over it. There is no assembly required. I advise saving the box for storage if you’re not going to keep it out all the time; the curves have special packing that is very specific.The cost varies quite a bit during year, so watch it for a while before buying.

It is small, yes - but if you compare its price to the larger ones, it’s comparable to its size. These are heirloom quality, beautiful balloons. I have a giant one, a mid-sized one, and this small one. My only quip is that I wish it had a little flag like the larger ones do. Overall I love these and they look adorable in the kids’ room.

Fantastic quality! I got the rainbow one to match the symbol of my buddy's favorite programming language, Smalltalk, and it's about 1000 times cooler than I thought it'd be. He flipped out! 10/10

Imagine the tiniest made in China ballon you ever held in your hands then imagine paying what you'd pay at the Dollar store 20x! Hehehe

I LOVE love love this Replica of the Hot Air Balloon. If you look at the second picture, under the Phillips 66 picture, you can see the picture where we went to the Hot Air Balloon Races last year. While we were there we purchased a paper one and while trying to put it together to hang it we ruined it and it wouldn’t open. I wanted one that is a much truer replica. This is so awesome. The basket, the colors, the true replica is so beautiful. It’s worth every penny.

I expected to find a much larger hot air balloon and shocked to see the tiny sample really! Not expected or appreciated by Amazon.I downloaded the return form only to discover we would have to pay for shipping!!! What’s up with that?? I didn’t see any specific comments about return and shipping charges.,
