Promises made, promises kept.
To be fair I was a bit sketched buying a used kinect off amazon 10+ years after these were made, but it has worked fine since!

I like it
It arrived non-functioning but the seller made it a point to CALL me to personally see to it that the issue was fixed. You can't beat that kind of professionalism. Now I have one that works and it makes using the xbox one so much easier than wresting with the controller. And the ability to utilize xbox fitness is going to help up my workouts and is actually great motivation to work out more often because it keeps scores and stats on all of my workouts. It helped me to realize what I am already good at and to point out what I need improvement in.

Zero reason to buy this device now
There's effectively no reason to buy this particular Kinect now so don't waste your money. I'd do a "zero" rating if possible...Main use of our Xbox is for our young daughter and her friends to play the dance games and Kinect sports games. With how the Xbox 360 Kinect isn't compatible and this one only works with an adapter that is only available via eBay for >$200...this is ridiculous. Bought the Xbox One as a Christmas present so it was a great surprise to find out that primary planned use wasn't possible. Really disappointed in Microsoft on this one (guess I shouldn't be surprised). Could almost claim deceptive marketing by Microsoft and its resellers...but Microsoft apparently slipped a "no class action lawsuit" clause into their terms when accepting the Xbox One S user agreement. Never again for me....

Too little, too late
Great product but with new updates and new upgrades, didn’t work out like I thought it would.

Using as a depth sensor to capture 3D objects
The media could not be loaded. I don't own an Xbox but with the right adapter I'm using this to affordably capture digital 3D objects of family and friends for my Windows 10 PC. This enables me to create all kinds of personalized gifts using their 3D likeness and print them out on my 3D printers, like drinking mugs, PEZ dispensers, dolls and masks. Real professional depth sensors can cost thousands of dollars, and this works just as well.I can also use it as a webcam for zoom meetings. No issues in over three years of heavy use and hundreds of scans. I'm confused about other reviews complaining about the adapter costing $300. I purchased both the Kinect and the adapter for about $120 total price in May of 2017 and I see the adapter currently listed as low as $21 on Amazon.
