Q: Can you please post the girth sizes for the medium and large harnesses so I can pick the correct one? My dog has a 28" girth.

Hi, mine actually didn't have the adjustable section on the belly but this one your looking at I also looked at and its sold in the same stack as the one I got. To answer your question the MEDIUM IS FOR A 20 TO 30 INCH GIRTH, LARGE IS FOR 30 TO 40 INCH GIRTH. If you are ever unsure if u go to the Hamilton website for dog harnesses, they have it right there with the sizes and if I remember right they teach how to measure correctly to get the correct one. I also like the one you are looking at and plan to go back for it another day. Nice to have a back up if you need to wash one. Hope I answered your question

If you're referring to the ring where the leash connects to the harness the answer is no. It's metal.

The loops go around the chest of the dogs; the larger loop goes right behind their front legs. Grab a flexible measuring tape (from sewing) and measure your dog. I would suggest choosing a size that allows your dog to get smaller or larger (e.g. don't decide to keep this if your dog is exactly 30" or 40"). This particular model is listed as 30"-40" which is a pretty large dog. I bought this for a 55 lb. pit bull.

I would measure the dog around it's chest (the girth) to pick what size you need.
