Star brite AQUA Water Tank and System Flush is formulated to deep-clean fresh water tanks and the entire water system (pipes, faucets, etc.) that have developed foul taste or odor from long periods of non-use or after being filled with water from a questionable source. AQUA Water Tank & System Flush is very effective at removing the scale and sediment that can lead to foul odors and taste. While it is a powerful cleaning agent, it will not neutralize head chemicals if it drains into grey or black water tanks. **Q: Is this product safe for aluminum tanks?**
A: Yes.

**Q: will this eliminate and prevent algae?**
A: No. This is to clean water tanks for taste and odors.  For algae and other contaminants, use Star brite Aqua Water Treatment or Star brite Aqua Water Shock.

**Q: Can you let it go through the water heater?**
A: Yes you can.  It is safe to flush all water systems, including water heaters.

**Q: How do I get this into my tank? My new trailer has a system that requires filling via a hose, there’s not a way to just pour it in…**
A: Pick up a small utility pump they are not expensive.
Connect a garden hose to your intake.  Connect the other size to the small utility pump.  Now if your utility pump has a hose input connect a small garden hose to the pump input side and place it in a small bucket with any solution and some water.  Turn it on and draw the solution into your tank.
If your utility pump has an open bottom just place it in the bucket and pump with the solution and some water.  Disconnect power when the bucket is dry!

Excellent product. Cleans the tank and waterline as described. Tech support at STAR BRITE was very good to help explain how to use it for my situation and the directions are good as well. It was easy to use but required much good thorough rinsing out. I also used it to clean my hot water tank and it did an excellent job. Highly recommend and the price is very reasonable on AMAZON.
