**Q: What is the safest way to remove the scuffbuster from a boat?**
A: I would suggest a heat gun and a plastic scraper.

**Q: What color is this?**
A: Stainless steel with a mirror like finish is silver in color. The red 3M backing tape peels off to reveal the adhesive.

**Q: Does the wide part go facing down ?**
A: The wide part sits against the bow eye.

**Q: Will it fit my Maxum 1900 SR**
A: I think so, however the best thing to do is measure the area and compare it to the measurements of bow guard. They work best on standard v-shaped hulls with minimal curvature to conform to. Make sure you over-bend the bow guard according the installation instructions.

Heavy stainless. Mine has been in use for almost a year without a scratch. This is not my first boat, so be careful to bend it perfectly or it could pop the adhesive off. It needs to fit perfectly before you remove the backing.

BE AWARE. Do not waste your money on this product. I bought this item about 2 weeks ago. I followed the directions to install it. BUT it failed and bent in 1st attempt bringing the boat back to my trailer. On top of it when I sent it back. Their reply is that I didnt installed it correctly and they dont take returns on used items, obviously I have to use it in order to get it work. Pathetic customer service with a rude response. Will be reaching out to Amazon now to file a camplain to this vendor
