Sadly it had to be returned and the replacement also failed
A third update: This one has also failed. The paint is flaking from the inside and the clock is broken and it stops working randomly. It's going in the bin. Another update: The clock display occasionally throws a fit, and the finish is pretty poor. These are definitely a budget item with little quality about them. I shall wait til this one dies and then buy a decent one. UPDATE: A large flake of paint came loose where the rotator wheel tracks. About an inch by a half inch. There's metal underneath so I can't use it but I got a no quibble replacement so all's well. I hope this was just a one off and that the replacement is ok. I love the sleek look of it, it's much better than the last one which was boring white. I love the LED inside too, it's really easy to see what's going on, but I wish it would turn off if you leave the door open. The controls are not the easiest to use: I can only hope that I am yet to figure them out. As soon as you hit the instant start button is puts 30 seconds on the clock, a second press puts another 30 seconds on the clock. But it takes another 8 presses to get 2 more minutes on. It's nuts and the booklet that comes with it doesn't explain anything other than what I'm doing. Changing power settings is easy although I probably never will do that, and I love that the roller that the glass plate sits on is metal instead of those easily-broken plastic ones. There's a seam at the back of the inside cabinet at the bottom that it going to trap food, I can see it happening. It would be nice if they could get rid of that seam. I gave it a 5 as apart from being odd to understand, it's really nice looking and works perfectly so all is good.
