Yama Glass CDM8 8 Cup French Press Coffee Maker

I created a cold brew tower similar to the Yama series.In extensively researching the science of cold brew extraction of coffee, I have not been able to find any evidence that this coil actually affects the flavor and balance of the final coffee product. But, it's eye candy. I do wish it were a few dollars cheaper but I don't regret purchasing it for my set. I get plenty of oohs and aahs from people admiring the beautiful tower.The first coil I ordered arrived heavily wrapped in shrink wrap inside a separate box and yet still was shattered upon opening. After returning that coil and receiving a new, undamaged one, everything looks good. Obviously, it's an incredibly delicate piece of glasswareFinal Thoughts: If you own a Yama brewer and your coil breaks, you'll pretty much have to pony up the money to replace this part so that your tower can still function.If you are building your own brewer and want to add a bit of flash to your cold brew setup, this definitely ups the ante, but if you don't care and want to save some money you skip this part with no negative impact on your coffee.

Product worked well. Just as described for the smaller Yama unit.
