My dogs wear topknots to keep their hair out of their eyes and I like to use ties that do not break, tangle or damage their hair.I was trying to decide between these colorful Janecraft ties and the smaller Goody Ouchless ties  Goody Girls Ouchless Ponytailer Hair Ties, Tiny Terry, 42 count, Assorted Colors  and decided to get both.These Janecraft ties have a 1.5 inch total unstretched diameter compared to the Goody ties which have a starting total diameter of only .75 inches. Both ties tend to stretch out more with use though.My older Maltese dog has very fine, silky hair and I need to wind the Goody tie 3 times over her topknot to make it secure. I must wind this Janecraft tie 5 times but I like the look. Twisting it 5 times gives the topknot a pop of color that, even without a bow added, creates an eye catching look.Because they are so much bigger, these Janecraft ties are more versatile but I find that both do a good job of securing a topknot without pulling or hurting the hair.

These are pretty much what I expected from stretchy hair ties. They are not elastic bands, so they stretch out pretty quickly. I can wrap them twice around my pony tail and they hold it tightly for the first day. The second time I try to use them, they're stretched out and are either too loose when wrapped around twice, or too tight when wrapped around three times. They are the perfect size for me on the first day, and if I wash them (put them in a lingerie bag and run through washer and dryer), they shrink back up to perfect again. I've bought these twice now because after I bought the first set, I tried several other types and none of them were nearly as good. I'm going back to this kind.

I wasn't sure I would like these since I'm pretty particular about hair ties, but, to my surprise, I really do! The price is amazing, they stretch great, don't tug on my hair and, the best part, they stay in my daughter's fine hair better than any other hair tie we've tried! They look like they may lose their original shape/size after a few uses, but I'm not worried about that. I just collect the stretched ones in a small mesh bag and throw them into thee washer and dryer with my regular laundry and they shrink right back to their original size! I will definitely be buying these again.

I seriously searched every where for these before I thought to look on Amazon. I realize these hair ties are probably for kids, however, they are perfect for my super long hair. I have very long/thin hair and I get migraines (recipe for disaster, I know) and when I pull my hair up using a "normal" hair tie I get the worst of migraines and end up ripping my hair out at the end of the day. These are soft and gentle and have never pulled my hair not once. They have a bit of stretch so you can really make them as tight or loose as you want! Love the color variety.

I don’t even remember when I bought these but I have one in my hair and two on my wrist. These are my favorites! And the colors are great.

i try to write fair and real reviews on everything I buy rom amazon because i have noticed ALL the fake ones and that sucks!!!I bought to braid in synthetic hair into mine and hide it so I thought these were smaller (my mistake); I do like them anyways, hence the 5 star! They can comfortably fit around my wrist. They hold up very well and so far haven't stretched out like cotton ones tend to do. I recommend these even for which hair ! Packaging could be better- it was just that hard plastic bag says from china.

My wife and daughter use these daily and she says they are great. None of them have lost shape, they don't shed or shred when stretched, and they are gentle enough to use on our toddlers hair. There's plenty so our daughter actually has fun playing with them while she gets her hair done so with the amunt they are a nice distraction that if one, two, or ten got lost it would be ok. There were plenty of matching colors but there as a very pretty blue one that my wife really liked that she only got one of. I'm considering buying them another set hoping she gets more of the one she liked.

I wanted all black, but I bought the bright colors because they were cheaper and I think the colors are actually pretty in person. I have thin-medium shoulder length hair and I can put it up and twist the hair tie three times without pulling. I can take it down with tangling. Overall, I like these even more than I thought I would and I will be buying more when they've all been stolen by my cat.
