My 4 year old loves this knitter. It's easy and fun for her to do and I get to teach her something that I love to do.Update: It has been over a year since I bought this knitter for my daughter. She still loves it and knits with it often. She has made me snakes, necklaces, bracelets, and flowers. It is a great way to introduce knitting to a young child. You can easily teach your child how to use it and then spend hours knitting together. We did have to look up some videos the first time we used it since I had not ever used a french knitter before. Once you get the hang of it, it can be very addictive! Pick up some extra balls of inexpensive yarn and have some fun. The knitter is made of solid wood with four metal pegs on the top and comes with a small wooden "lifter"/needle. The yarn that come with it does not last long at all so be sure to grab extra. The yarn that is included also isn't great quality so be prepared for it to fray during some trial and error during the first use. Highly recommended for the young knitter.

I bought this for my granddaughter but her mother (my daughter) ended up playing with it more than her daughter. I had one of these when I was little and loved it.

My daughter loved how this looked, but the yarn just snagged on the interior. Had to return and get a plastic knitter instead.
