It’s an incomplete product offering.…strangely the Filter in Not Included in the package…It’s extremely difficult to source one…and if found, is quite expensive…

This coffee-maker is a textbook case of good design making a huge difference. Most coffee-makers have a complicated water delivery hose that is hinged with the lid. Flexing every time the lid is opened or shut, it inevitably wears out, and replacement parts aren't available. By contrast these HB's have a swing-out filter basket, which means the water hose never moves. These are commercial models, used in thousands of hotel rooms, and have to be sturdier.The swing-out system also makes it simple to lift the whole basket off its pivot for cleaning - another well-thought-out design, and an improvement on previous models. The carafe is less prone to spilling than older models, but still not perfect on that score. Oddly, this is called a 4-cup model, but the carafe is marked 1-5, and 5 on this equals 4 on the older version, go figure.For a small footprint, and for one or two people, this is a great, inexpensive but durable, design. If a replacement switch and heating element were available, one of these would last forever. I believe larger versions with the swing-out system are available, and would highly recommend that buyers beware any model that uses the old fixed basket, hinged water hose idea.

I am sure the coffee maker is probably just fine. However, it is NOT UL rated for COMMERCIAL USE as the seller claims. Several times in this ad the seller calls this a COMMERCIAL coffee maker but the maker is rated HOSPITALITY USE. So if you work somewhere where a UL COMMERCIAL rated maker is required this ISN'T going to work. I now have to figure out how to return this item and am going to be out close to $17 in shipping charges! NOT HAPPY!Updated: While I received the wrong coffee maker. The company was fabulous and replaced the item right away! My new coffee maker is UL commercial and is exactly what I was looking for!

I like how compact this coffee maker is.It is easy to put the water in and the swing out filter holder is nice.Brews a full pot in a little over 5 minutes.It does shut itself off,and the pot tends to dribble if you're not careful how you pour it.The taste of the coffee brewed is better than I got with my Mr. Coffee but not as good as I got with the Bunny had.

I had an old 4-cup Cuisinart that I loved and which served me well for 15 years. But recent reviews scared me off of ordering that model again. I bought this Hamilton Beach model based on the positive reviews (thank you, other reviewers!). My local chain supermarket doesn't carry the small size basket filters, but a #2 cone filter can be smushed down and works just fine. The real selling point of the other reviews was that the coffee tastes good. It's true: This makes good-tasting coffee!

We purchased this for the auto shut off feature and were hoping that this machine would work in our kitchen but when using a 4 cup paper filter the coffee grounds went into the carafe. It turns out that this is designed for those little coffee pouches that you see in hotels (that surround the ground coffee) but are unable to purchase in your supermarket. If you want to use this for the coffee you like, perhaps it would be best to get another unit. Very disappointed. Returned it.
