I said "no problem" and threw it in the washing machine with the rest of the baby blecky items. Imagine my dismay when I took out the laundry and this item was totally destroyed!! It was completely crumpled up and the back layer was adhering to the front. Tried to pull apart the layers and flatten it, but it was impossible. Since our space is limited, we converted the top of my dresser into a changing table and these are our changing mats. They are the perfect size to fit on top of the dresser without hanging over the edge. So far, they have washed well, I do NOT run them on high heat for wash or dry.
