Searching for the String: Selected Writings of John A. Keel

This is the 3rd volume of John Keel's magazine articles to be released and it's just as fantastic as the first two volumes. Volume 1 was FLYING SAUCERS TO THE CENTER OF YOUR MIND and volume 2 was THE OUTER LIMITS OF THE TWILIGHT ZONE. Both came out last year and contain all of his magazine articles from the 60s-70s. If you're at all interested in this man's work you cannot live without these three volumes, locating the originals would be all but impossible I had no idea his body of work was this large, I just knew of his books. These articles are so good I can't do Mr. Keel justice with words alone. All I can say is BUY THEM...ALL THREE VOLUMES. I'm hoping there will be even more to come and am giving all 3 volumes 1000%...I'd give them 10 stars if I could.If the publisher is reading this PLEASE reprint the Frank Edwards books, maybe all as one book. He was the only other author that I feel was coming from the same place as keel. Edwards has been dead for years and it shouldn't be too hard to copyright and re-publish his books.

Excellent on its own but also a great companion to previous titles from Keel. Some of the articles put more meat on the bones of the events that happened in Point Pleasent and Long Island. If you are a fan of Keel, you need this book.

The Mark Twain of high strangeness...Very interesting and thought-provoking. I'd recommend reading other works by John A. Keel before this one, such as The Mothman Prophecies and Operation Trojan Horse.

An interesting take on the UFO phenomenom. Perhaps a few too many anecdotal items.

It was ok. It gets kind of draggy towards the end .

SEARCHING for the STRING was more greatness from JOHN KEEL. I love this subject therefore it never gets old. Keel was someone I would have enjoyed meeting. He was continuously searching for new angles and with every book I've listened to by him, there's always some type of new information or another piece to the puzzle of the UFO mystery.I especially liked this audiobook in particular as it brought a new perspective to the subject. I think he was ahead of his time with his research and his undying love to find the truth. Well, he knew the truth and steadfastly attempted to bring it into the light. In this book, he broached a few other related topics to the UFO phenomena. This book delivers and for those interested in this subject, I don't think it will disappoint.I liked the Cosmic Blog section as well where the book shared correspondences to and from Keel. This was very interesting and good.MICHAEL HACKER does a FANTASTIC job narrating this book. I like his style. He adds voice inflections where Keel would if he were reading his own book. Hacker's voice is clear, pleasant and steady making him a bonus while listening to this audiobook. He's easy to understand and speaks at a perfect pace. This was an overall super listen!Audiobook received in exchange for an honest review.

A fantastic WRITER that brings you in another dimension. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoy, ufos, misteries and good books.
