This is a handmade color shifting sapphire and sterling silver Engraved medallion pendant. This piece is hand engraved, and done in the timeless fashion of the Art deco inspired school of design. This pendant weighs over 11 grams of solid 925 sterling silver, and measures over 1 1/8 inches long. The gemstone in its center is prong set and weighs 14 carats. This stone shifts its color from a teal or greenish blue to deep royal purple depending upon the lighting spectrum and simply teem with life and fire. it measures over 15 mm in diameter, and the total carat weight is approx 14 carat. This gemstone does exhibit a medium orange reaction under UV lighting and has a refractive index of 1.72 This pendant or necklace is completely handmade without the use of a single prefabricated component. This item is a one of a kind original design produced in a true studio jeweler style.
