Works well
It doubles the distance so now I get almost half of what my friend's stock Phantom gets. Whoopee. Just wish I had bought the Phantom instead.

Another Brick in the Great Wall of Junk
Come On!!! We tested this thing and got better results with a homemade parabolic array made with a dollar store colander. The product we received had obviously been returned by someone previously, it was scratched and looked like even modified, unless yours has a thin cheap plastic housing with milky electrical sealant on it, we assumed someone has tried to weatherproof it. If yours looks the same way, and you had no pause, I have some great deals for you, love to sell them. Please review products for the sake of others not just as a sounding board for witty opines and emotional mud-slinging. Longtime users of Amazon and Ebay have agreed the volume of products has grown so massive it cannot be responsibly monitored for quality. Often we call in for tech support and end up training the techs who cant even properly pronounce the name of the products they "Support".It may seem extreme, but if your Drone pulled a classic "Fly-Away" and flew into a playground, park or yard and into the face of some child because the sub-grade antennae, represented as high quality and certified, was allowed to be simply returned. Demand that Sellers step-up and put-up or shut-down, returns are not sufficient, they are an efficient manner of economic musical chairs, where will you be when the music stops. Otherwise, prepare for the day when you will need to explain why you're "Flying Ninja" ruined lives or bankrupted you. Extreme? Wake-up! It happens every day. 1 million consumer owned drones active in the US, 85% flown by people with no prior experience or training. Would you let your kids play with steak knives, how about catch with a food processor while its on and the lid removed, get the picture? Just Google Drone Injuries. Please do your part. Pay it forward and do your part. Thanks

Solid connection and great distance.
Easily doubled my range. I got this to bolster my connection not for long range flying and it does a great job of both. I got out to about 5000 ft and still had perfect video however my telemetry went away at that point so I didn't want to push any more distance. This was in an urban environment with plenty of competing signals so overall I am pretty impressed. With the stock antenna I was only able to get to 1800-2200 feet before return to home would kick in. The build quality is also nice, looks like it belongs on the ST16.

I had not been getting the best response from the aircraft with the stock antenna's
I had really hoped this antenna would help increase the range of my Typhoon H. I had not been getting the best response from the aircraft with the stock antenna's. Took my Typhoon H to the local park to test out the new DBS Antenna, and was really disappointed. Really didn't get much better response from the aircraft or video signal with the new antenna. Wouldn't recommend this product.

Good performance but bad marketing.
I had heard so much about this product; mostly raves. I happen to agree with its functionality and excellent performance but I agree with the gent who reviewed with one star and was criticized as the worst review ever. He complained about the fact that there is absolutely no info or spec sheet with the package (which, BTW, packaging is excellent). I can understand if this was an eBay item from an unknown vendor and cost $4,99 or something like that; but this is from Europe and cost $110.00! There are NO directions, the connectors are marked Port 1 and Port 2 instead of where to connect them to. The frequency ID like 2,4 GHZ or 5,8 GHZ or even control and FPV would have been better. What the heck is Port 1 or 2? I looked up pics and videos on Youtube and went blindly on those. I must say, however, that the performance gain in altitude and distance is incredible. No loss of control or video reception was noticed at all. So, Itelite folks, spend some of that profit on printing a small spec sheet and installation instructions please?

Quick, easy install. ZERO practical range improvement!
Last year, I had a Yuneec Q500 4K. It was my first-ever "drone" and was just a wonderful experience out-of-the-box -- save for its one Achilles' Heel -- RANGE! I could only get about 200 meters of FPV feed range, which killed it for me.With great trepidation I ordered the Typhoon H after having read many reviews stating that users were almost unanimously experiencing ranges of 1,000 meters or more. Not willing to "risk it", I ordered this Itelite DBS antenna along with the Typhoon H. I ran the H with the stock antennas for the first few flights. The H has significantly improved FPV range over the Q500, but it's still FAR short of the Phantom 4 -- like not even 1/4 the FPV range. The Itelite is the easiest thing in the world to install, taking all of 2-3 minutes to attach it and the two cables to the flat-face, non-amplified antenna. It's a directional antenna, so you must always be pointing it directly at the Typhoon while flying at any appreciable distance. Cabling was good and tight, and I always pointed the front face of the antenna directly at the bird when in-flight. Sadly, I have noticed absolute NO practical range increase in FPV signal -- very disappointing.I'm going to try the FPVLR antenna, and remain optimistic that I'll realize the range gains I am so desperately hoping for. If not, I'm going to have to go the DJI route, which is something I'm really trying to avoid as I'm not a fan of DJI and their abysmal customer service and support.Stay tuned!
