No Bite Nail Polish, Nail Biting Treatment with Bitter Polish to Help Quit Nail Biting For Life and Also Help Stop Thumb Sucking (10ml)

Six weeks ago, my wife persuaded me to try Fidyn No Bite, after all my nails were down to, or almost to, the quick. I was amazed a how well it worked, because, frankly, it’s not all that terrible, and besides, I was pretty lax about using it. After the first application, my hands went to my mouth a half dozen times or so, and the taste would startle me into putting my hand down. It wears out after several hours, so you have to reapply, which I did faithfully for maybe a day and a half. After that I only used it when I remembered, which was, like, every other day, then every third day, then once a week, and now never. But I found that when I put my hand to my mouth, I would remember the taste, even though the taste wasn’t actually there. A complete success, and I have a lot left, in case I ever start biting again. Great product.

Helped get rid of my habit.

My son has been struggling with nail biting for a long time, and this product really helped me reduce the urge. The bitter taste works effectively, and it’s easy to apply like regular nail polish. After a few days, I noticed I was more aware of my habit and stopped biting as much. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is it needs reapplying fairly often. Overall, a very useful product for anyone trying to stop nail biting or thumb sucking.

This works and did deter my 5yo from sucking his thumb, but it wears off in a few hours so needs repeated applications throughout the day. The biggest downside to this is that when I applied it before bedtime, it prevented my son from sucking his thumb, but it lost its bitter taste by morning so he'd suck his thumb for a while before getting out of bed, and thus we weren't ever able to break his thumb-sucking habit. We'll be trying a different product instead.

The flavor of this deterrent is essentially non-existent. You can taste a VERY mild bitter flavor that only lasts about an hour. It suggest reapplication multiple times a day which is rather inconvenient and not practical. It is NOT a polish. It is a liquid that doesn't actually stick to your nails. It's like painting water on your nails. I will say that the fact that it dry clear is nice. No shiny polish. It may work for children that may be more sensitive to taste. But as from me and my 13 year old son, we could barely taste the bitterness. I wanted it to work because the price was really nice. Update 5/29/21: I am blown away by their customer service!! They sent me a very detailed email apologizing for the hassle of me having to send the product back (not a hassle AT ALL) and offering an explanation as to the reason the polish may not be as bitter to my son and I. They do it for safety reasons as some children are very sensitive to overly bitter flavors. Quite understandable!! They also explained that they are working on a formula that is stronger for people like my son and I that need a stronger determent and offered to send a bottle when it becomes available. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!

I don't know how they can advertise this as nail "polish" when it's objectively not a nail polish at all. It's a liquid that soaks your nails and lasts a VERY short time. Very unethical marketing choice, so this is not a product or company I trust -- if they're willing to lie about something that the customer will be able to clearly see is false upon receiving the product, who knows what else they're willing to say about it that isn't true. I would not buy this again, nor would I recommend supporting this company after reading that this nail polish is harmful to pregnant people according to OBGYNs and it isn't even mentioned on the packaging. Amazon isn't the FDA, people, just because a company says something doesn't make it true! This is a liquid that goes onto your nails and dries/absorbs. The taste completely disappears after one SHORT hand washing. It does NOT last on your nails "all day" like the company advertises it will. It's NOT nail polish like the company says it is, and it would only work for even half the day if you only wash your hands once (🤢) or just do a really bad job (🤮)

My 3 year old daughter got into the habit of bitting and ripping off her nails. She'd bite them too short and this would result in pain as you can imagine. I wanted something that was bitter enough for her to be grosses out but not harmful for her to digest. This meet our needs and after a few weeks of applying it broker her habit. She very excited that her nails now get long enough for me to be able to cut them for her.

It works but at times very funny how she reacted when she sees the bottle. It would have been thrown in the bin 🤣🤣

Bought this for my toddler who was a nail biter but didn’t need to crack it open because the sight of the bottle stopped him in his tracks. 10/10 would buy again but don’t need to haha

Used it to stop my daughter from biting her nails. She hated the taste. Pretty much stopped immediately.

Did not work. Mr 4 puts nail right back into mouth no taste for him at all.
