These will work for the smaller strings...not 42 ga. They are aluminium gears with a gold paint. They keep stripping.

I don't know why they're so cheap they look and work flawless!
First rate! These machines are just about perfect. You can remove the post and flip the worm in seconds, makes them left instead of right. The engraving on the base plate was lined up perfect. I couldn't find any flaws on any of them. I'm pretty sure it took 10 days to get them from China,
