A great disappointment.
I desperately wanted this book to work. Like the author, I too have a family member suffering terrible symptoms of post neuralgic pain from shingles. The preface spoke affectionately about her grandfather’s suffering through neuropathic pain. His suffering ultimately led her to write this book after much research. I was hooked and ordered the book.My first impression on receiving the book were not good. The photography of various suggested vitamins was of very poor quality. Grainy black and white blurred images of bottles with their labels faded or missing – page 57 of DMSO (Dimethyl Sulfoxide) in question. Some suggested vitamins were no longer available in any health stores and the recipe for ‘Pain Relieving Shots’ turned out to be pure misery. After consuming the ‘shots’ my relative was rocking back and forth suffering more pain than ever before.Very few medical references were quoted with no ‘outcomes’ from patients who have tried any of the recommended regimes. The book offered a guide to healthy eating, which you can find for free on any good health site. I was prepared to try anything to help even though the purchases of the vitamins are not a cheap exercise. The author is committed to supporting small business which I thought would help with the title of the book. It turned out to be a company selling soap!As for help with neuropathic pain –not helpful and caused more distress.
