My upholstered dining chairs are getting break! The cactus-like post doesn't really go with my decor but it is certainly saving it.

If your cat loves to scratch this kind of material, it is perfect. Cute, small and guest love it! The ball fell off pretty early but they use it as a toy now LOL

We have a new foster cat staying at our Hotel Hiss so of course had to get her a new scratching post to add to her quarantine room while we waited for her first wellness appointment. This cactus scratcher was too cute to pass up. The first scratcher that came, however, was defective, the top cactus piece would not screw into the bottom scratcher part. I reached out to the company, they include an email address on the assembly instructions, to let them know. The company was so nice! I immediately got an email back from Flora and after confirming my Amazon purchase, she sent a replacement part! Now it’s absolutely purrfect! The assembly is super easy and it’s just all around adorable. Clover (new girl) is new to indoor life, and new to scratching posts so she didn’t know the difference, but now that it’s a complete cactus I’m excited to see everyone’s reactions! Clover got a 100% at her wellness exam so we’re in the process of letting her join general population a.k.a House of Hiss. So perfect timing to get the scratcher completed! The top cactus part is soft like a pillow which makes it unique, and think that’s why kitties like to jump and wrestle with it. Number Five is the meowdel next to the completed cactus, Clover is above it checking it out on the bed. Will update with more photos once everyone starts to play with it.

This is nice and tall, so even our ‘longest’ cat could stretch ALL the way. It’s not just for scratching, but also for the stretching that is important for a cat’s wellbeing.

The media could not be loaded.  My little destructo tortie was a HUGE fan of my original sectional which we just replace with a lovely leather recliner set…. Since I wasn’t keen on her re creating her make shift bunk bed in the new couch via ripping out the bottom liner and tearing up the corner, I invested in the cactus scratcher. SHE LOVES this thing. I placed it adjacent to her old scratching spot and she took right to it, I hear her playing with it all the time ( even though as soon as I catch her she pretends she’s doing nothing… typical.) I highly recommend this post! It’s only been a week and a half, but it’s easy to assemble and takes up such little room. Just buy it for your little monster.

The cats got the ball off of ours right away, but they still love scratching on it.
