A: I do not know weights on the leather very new to this but it is rather thin hope this helps

**Q: Does the outer layer come stamped? I like the idea of the wallet kit, but not really feeling most of the outer shell designs that are featured.**
A: There are so many designs out there to pick from, don't think I have ever used the design from the kit. I like my own better. I have heard, there are a lot of different designs on the internet you just have to go look. Tandy also has a lot of designs.
