Sturdy & large. Just what I was looking for. The finish is getting a bit rough after use but I'm okay with that.

Not only did it arrive crazy fast it's absolutely stunning and well made. It's strictly sound and wide enough to even serve a filet in one piece without it falling apart! I plan to buy another I love it so much!

I've been meaning to buy a pretty set of salad tongs forever, but it's one of those things that I never think about until I need them, which I did over the recent days of Christmas. It was too late to do anything about it when we wanted them, but after everyone went home, I came to Amazon to have a look around. I saw these and thought they were perfect. They arrived this morning, and I'm very happy with them.I love that they're made from a sustainable and renewable resource, the Acacia tree. Mine are a gorgeous dark color, which I just love. The spring mechanism is a mystery to me, I have no idea how it works, but it does! I think it's all in the brilliant cutting, shaping, and positioning of the two pieces because there's no sign of a metal spring that I can see. Of course that doesn't mean there isn't one, it could just mean that it's very well hidden.They're finished with a very smooth surface which is lovely to touch and hold in my hand. I can see where it would be nice if they folded flat, but I just put mine in a drawer that has extra space in it (yes, I have one of those, don't know how it happened) so it's not a problem for me.I would recommend these tongs to anyone who wants a pretty, well made, and functional set.

Really pleased with this item. Looks much better in person. Just received so I can’t say anything about longevity but it seems very well made and is lovely for serving.

The product had a large chunk of wood broken off but was in a sealed envelope without the broken piece of wood so it must have been like that when it was packed
