Double the range.
More than doubled the range of the stock antenna for my baofeng.Funny story. Three of us we’re hunting. One friend opted to use the stock antenna because the size was more “convenient”. He was between me and my other friend using these antennas. He could only reach me. I could barely hear him. I had to pass messages to him from our third friend even though I was further away from our third friend. These two couldn’t hear each other. Also, I could hear our third friend loud and clear despite being more than twice as far away. All of us were using identical baofengs UV-5Rs. He opted to use one of these for the rest of the hunt. Real game changer. I highly recommend this brand.One thing though I did kind of break the base on a nasty fall, but really just had to push it all back together. That story took place after me pushing it back together. Still keeps great range today. Didn’t seem to affect anything. Still works great.
