Good value, Good toy
As far as Transformers toys go, this set is fantastic for not only the slight nostalgia it brings, but for the price as well. I Paid just under twenty dollars and it was well worth every penny. I baught this for my oldest son of 5 years, (he loves transformers) and he knows all about the old 80's "Transformers The Movie", so to be able to get those toys today is great for the next gen fans. Even if your just a collector, this Item is a great piece to add to the collection. As far as the actual toys quality... It's pretty good. The packaging is brilliant, and the characters look quite authentic compairing to the old t.v. series and movie. Their made of a sturdy feeling palstic and seem quite capable of handling the abuses of a small boy... --FOR THE DIE-HARD COLLECTOR-- One very small issue with the construction: The details of the seams and transitions of colors for the characters paint jobs(especially Hot Rods face on mine particularly) are just a bit patchy and have a spotty look in some areas at the lines, like a bad paint job that goes over or not quite far enough to the line intended. This is not a big deal and not so noticeable, but up close, it's plain to see that this is most likely a manufacturers flaw. These types of flaws are typical for the cheaper plastic reproductions(unlike the masterpiece series) and probably occured on several if not all of this series of products(probably from the actual molding and painting process and difficult to prevent or something)... and IF you are an old fan and had or have the old gen.1 toys you know the quality is, for many of the smaller toys; nowhere near the quality of todays non-lead based stuff. However the classic look is fantastic and well done regardless of the slight almost un-noticeable manufacturers error. Like all transformers these have a level of difficulty and a learning curve for the transformation process, which for these is easy to get passed and to teach. The only real complaint is that it came with a really cool "Autobots matrix of leadership", but the characters hands are molded into fists that cannot open or hold the small trinket, only their little weapons fit in their hands. This is not a big deal either because my son really wants a "matrix" but for some kids that tiny oversight could be considered faulty as far as playing with the toys go. All and all, the toy is everything and a bit more. Including the figures with acessories,a comic book, and a cool little novilty "matrix", this definately will make for a good gift for any little boy that has a his heart set on these types of toys, or for a die-hard collector. Five stars all the way! And thank you Amazon for shipping it so quickly. From order date to arrival It was only a couple of days, so... good stuff, Thanks!

Trop fragile
A force de manipulation les figures se sont cassées en quelque jours.Attention donc à ne pas les mettre dans n'importe quelles mains :)

First in a While
As denoted from my choice of title, this is my first Transformers purchase in some time; my last was a couple of the PowerCore Combiners, and before that the RotF Leader-Class Optimus Prime. This was also my first Classics/Generations Transformers purchase, and I have to say, I'm liking it. A lot!For those who don't know, the Classics/Generations line is based on a simple principle of updating the original G1 Transformers character designs from the '80s. Hot Rod and Cyclonus first debuted in 1986 in Transformers: The Movie, along side several new story elements that would become crucial and even integral to the overall Transformers mulitverse. These figures definitely do the characters several degrees of justice. Transformations are smooth and not overly-complicated. Coloring is vibrant and highly reminiscent of their originals in the late '80s, with enough subtlety to avoid being overly gaudy or in-your-face. Both vehicle and robot modes for each figure are solid and eye-catching, with both a retro and futuristic feel.My one, single, ONLY complaint is that my Cyclonus literally has two left feet; the panels that form the front of his feet are both of the same left-side mold. I was wondering if maybe anyone else had this problem, or if mine is just some kind of manufacturing-error freak? Or maybe there's someone out there with a Cyclonus with two right feet?Still, that single minor nitpick aside, this is a fantastic set, and at just over $20 US for two whole Deluxe-class figures AND a die-cast Matrix of Leadership, it's practically a steal.

A great Transformers two-pack
This battle pack is an awesome addition to any Transformers collection. Both the Cyclonus and Rodimus figures are repaints/re-releases of their Classics/Universe figure counterparts, but both are very cool. Cyclonus comes with a small Targetmaster figure that transforms into a large cannon, and Rodimus' cannon actually fires a missile. If you don't already have the figures, this two-pack is an easy way to get them. If you do have both figures, you're not missing too much if you don't buy this two-pack, but you may like these new figures anyway because of the slight repaint.

Light our Darkest hour
I just recently got this battle in space set.I have to say both cyclonus and rodimus look just like there animated version from 80's transformers show. the die-cast metal matrix was great but i wish it could be opened like 20th anniversary optimus prime.Rodimus prime goes great with the fansproject tfx-04 protecter and he looks better with the set and looks like rodimus prime than rodimus. i would reccommend this set for any die-hard transformers fan.
