I just completed a 2 year restoration on the outside of the boat, now it's time to get out on the water. From Home Depot I got a very nice sheet of plywood. I started by cutting ⅛" deep grooves in it an inch and a half apart from one another. Then I cut the plywood to fit under my pedestal seats, caulked the pieces with this teak deck caulking, sanded them, encased them in epoxy, screwed them down to my existing desk, and mounted my pedestal seats on them. Looks like teak, but it's just plywood. The caulking worked great.
