Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice...
[The original review]I'm trying to choose my words carefully here so as not to sound too much like a fake infomercial. The truth of it is, these earphones just arrived and I couldn't be more pleased with them. They exceed my (admittedly modest) expectations in terms of sound quality, comfort, and also my original reason for buying them--how well they stay in my ears when doing moderate physical activity.COMFORT: My original reason for buying this style of earphones was because i wanted to be able to do some light exercise (either hiking in the real world, or using the treadmill) without the constant feeling that I had to keep my head perfectly stiff and upright, lest my earphones fall off. (This was a constant pain in the butt with both my conventional earphones, and my other pair of earbuds. It really inhibited the way I exercised, making me feel I had to restrict my movements.)Well, the Rovking does my modest expectation one better. Not only do they seem to stay put (so far so good; I just got these), but they are by far the most comfortable pair of earphones I've ever owned. This is not something I was expecting. Considering they're the "earbud" type of earphones, I was just crossing my fingers they wouldn't be outright *painful* to use, like some earbuds are. It's crazy, but they fit so well in my ears (and here's the "infomercial" sounding part) that it literally is easy to forget I'm wearing earphones at all.[Note: I see a couple reviewers have complained about their earphones not fitting great. I can only speak to my personal experience. Maybe I just lucked out, and this particular brand is the exact fit for my ear canals. Keep in mind, the product description *does* say that these come with different sized inserts (and indeed, my pair came with a pouch of spares); I wonder if these people tried swapping out the rubber inserts to see if any of the other sizes fit their ears better before writing their complaint.]FREEDOM: This is what I got these for, and man, they really do work on this front. The more I use these earbuds--exercising, walking around, generally forgetting they're even on--the more it dawns on me just how constricting to my movement wearing other earphones were. I hadn't realized before just how much I was subconsciously keeping my neck unnaturally still and straight, simply because I had to prevent my earphones from falling off. Now that I've been using the Rovkings for a while, it's oddly liberating.SOUND: Again, this isn't something that was even on my radar. I *just* wanted some earphones that would stay in place without me having to restrict my movements. If they didn't sound completely awful, then that was icing on the cake. But considering these are earbud style earphones, I wasn't expecting much.Well, the sound is surprisingly good. Particularly the bass. (Almost *too* good. The lower frequencies are now so prominent, I had to fiddle with the EQ settings on my mp3 player to scale them back.) Until now, I had just assumed it was physically impossible for earbud-style earphones to produce any bass at all. (Even another fancy-schmancy brand of earbuds I own, whose selling point was that they're made of wood, which is supposed to somehow make a wider EQ range possible, can't really produce any bass.) Well, it turns out it *is* possible.Keep in mind, I'm not saying the sound quality of the Rovkings will be better than *really* premium high-end earphones. But the sound quality here is better than any other earbuds I've owned, and possibly even better than the "casual" normal, larger earphones I've been using.FEWER TANGLES: This is a plus I hadn't even considered. All of the earbud-style earphones I've owned in the past have been just terrible with how easily they would get tangled up. The cord of the Rovkings, however, seems to be slightly stiffer and thicker than that of other earbuds I've owned. Result: They seem really resistant to becoming tangled. Again, this is something I didn't even know I "wanted" in earphones, but now that I see the convenience, I can't imagine having to revert back to the Christmas-lights-wrestling-match frustration of conventional earbud cords. That's it for now. As I say, I just got these. If they happen to spontaneously combust over the next few months, or give me some kind of weird disease, I'll adjust my review accordingly. But until that happens, I'm seriously tempted to order a backup pair._______________Update #1: The original title of my review was, "Given my expectations, the best earphones I've ever owned." Unfortunately, I have to subtract a couple stars from my initial rating. When earphones poop out after only 3 months, that's got to be mentioned.Said "pooping out" is kind of what happened this morning. I was listening to my mp3 player and found the sound cutting in and out. Only through constantly fiddling with the earbud's cord, bending it this way and that, could I get the sound to intermittently come back. (I did test the mp3 player with other earphones to make sure it wasn't an issue with the jack on the player.)For now, I've got a piece of Scotch tape on my Rovking earbuds--making sure the "problem section" of the cord stays bent at just the right spot so that the sound doesn't keep cutting out. After my stopgap Scotch tape fix finally stops working, I guess I'll be shopping for some more exercise earbuds._______________Update #2: The Defway Customer service came through and sent me a replacement pair, free of charge. (They also gave the option of a full refund.) I opted for the replacement pair, given how much I liked these earbuds before the cord went south. With all the positives these earbuds had going for them (the most important being how much more comfortable they are compared to every other pair of earbuds I've ever owned), I thought they were worth another shot.Everything factored together, including the customer service response, I feel it would be unfair to rate these with anything less than four stars._______Update #3: January, 2018:Well, it happened again. The second pair of Rovking earbuds that I started using regularly after my first pair went belly up, well, these shorted out today as well. Like with the first pair, I got about 3 months of consistent use out of them. (Bravo for a predictable lifespan, I guess?) And like with the first pair, the short seemed to happen around the part of the cord that connects to the jack on the mp3 player.I feel obligated to lower my rating to two stars. I know Defway showed nice customer service by offering a replacement pair the first time this happened, but that only goes so far. Nice customer service or not, I cannot recommend these earbuds. Yes, they are *very* comfortable in the ear. And yes, they sound pretty darn good, especially considering they're not full-sized earphones. But should those two positive traits be enough to recommend earbuds which have proven to only have a 3 month shelf-life? In my opinion, no. Granted, as a society we've gotten used to and somewhat accepting of this "new standard" where we buy cheap stuff from overseas which is all but guaranteed to end up in a landfill within a few months. And if you're someone that fully expects that to happen when you buy something, and are fine with that, then I guess you can overlook my negative review. But if you're like me, and perhaps naive enough to feel that, even in this day and age, when you buy something, it should last longer than 3 months before breaking down, then I'd recommend trying another brand.

"Little Jewels", I think! Very nice, and very well designed! I figured they would be OK, but these surpassed my expectations!
When I buy earbuds, I am always looking for three main things. First is a good rugged cord, with sturdy molded joints, and plug connector. Second is an "L" connection, as opposed to the straight ones which always seem to be sticking stiffly out and getting jammed up against something, causing problems with wear and eventually broken compunctions usually result. Thirdly is a good value. Because I think it is utterly insane to be paying 40, 50, or 100, dollars for a little set of earbuds, especially without noise cancelling, or some other exceptional feature. And upon testing these out, they easily met all three of of these criteria that I look for. They do not have a true "L" connector (On the part that plugs into your device) But the 45 degree arrangement on these seems like a very nice compromise. And the cord is awesome! It is heavy and strong feeling, but not garish. I don't think it will ever separate or break. And that is my chief gripe about most earbud type headphones. On most off them, if you really pay attention, the wires and especially the ones going to the ear pieces, like on the "Skull Candy" types, are so wimpy it is pathetic. I have had so many bad experiences with those types that I stopped counting. Usually one channel will suddenly stop working, because one of the wimpy wires separates inside, next to the ear part, where the tiny speakers are. Or else you will start getting a crackling noise, and then an intermittent lost connection which requires some wiggling of the molded connection just above the jack. And soon that wire will separate altogether, and again, one channel will stop working. And that is frustrating! But enough about the weaknesses of those wimpy type earbuds. Here is what I like about these, minus the three listed in my opening paragraph. Firstly, and is, and this is always very important, they sound great! I saw a review that said "they sounded tinny". But one of the fallacies of technology is the vast difference between different devices. Headphones that sound great on one device, may sound too bassy or too tinny on another device. So my test is, "How do they respond to the virtual equalizer on my device?" And on this test, these little jewels passed with flying colors! I have found that on many cheap;y made earbuds, nothing you do will make them sound right. But these responded beautifully and quickly to every frequency on my virtual equalizer! I can tailor my sound very nicely and very easily to just like I want it. And there IS plenty of bass response on these. So in my thinking, you can ignore reviews that say they sound "tinny". Some people just don't have a clue when it comes to technology. If you just plug any earbuds into something, with no equalizing capabilities, yes, you probably won't get the ideal sound you would like to be hearing. And this is not a unique situation. Most earbud type headphones will need to be tailored with some kind of an equalizer to meet each individual's hearing preferences and needs. On my device with no "eq", they were a little strong on the treble. But with my "eq" they have more than enough bass to offer. Then there are the earbuds themselves. I was very happy that these fit very snugly on the headphones. Because the nipple they fit onto is longer than any I have seen before, and the fit is very snug. This you will probably have to yank and pull pretty firmly in order to get them off. So no more ear pieces just arbitrarily falling off, and then you have no idea where the dang thing went! That is so frustrating!Lastly is the fit. It took me a little fiddling with the ear pieces to figure out just how to get them to fit best, because these are made differently than any earbuds I have had before. They go in at sort of an angle and then they kind of "hug your ears". And that is why so many people keep saying they don't fall out like other ones tend to. I put them on as soon as I got them and then I wore them around the house, while moving some boxes, and bending over and cleaning up, etc. And they stayed firmly and comfortably in place, which was very nice! I did change to a larger set of buds than what was on them when they came. But they come with plenty of sizes for just about every ear size. And the ones I chose seem to work great,. So I am looking forward to years great service and enjoyment form these little jewels! For the money, I don't see how anyone could go wrong in purchasing a set of these.

Why 3 stars when good quality?
I had originally given this product only 3 stars. (for the odd reason listed below). BUT I have changed it to 5 stars as the seller was very gracious in replacing the item immediately - without cost. I appreciate their service, and the follow up. All in all, this is a very good product and I have been using it long enough now to say it is comfortable and seems of good quality. --- Thanks to the seller.[older statement below.]This is a STRANGE complaint. I've ordered these, and similar earbuds before, and may again. HOWEVER, when these came, they STUNK. The smell of the box, the plastic and the earbuds was just awful (not like a plastic smell more like a mold and garbage smell). I have tried laying them out on a sunny window for days and finally sprayed them with some room spray. So far, the smell remains although it is dissipating a bit. All I can image is that these are VERY old and were in storage where something happened. I believe the product is a good one, but had to explain this odd and troubling event. As of yet, I still can't use them. Maybe soon. [I wonder if this has happened to anyone else.]

Made my Wife very happy!
Liked the color and the way it fit on her ears. Also, she liked the idea that I could not hear what she was listening too.

Good for price/what they're designed to do
I'm very happy with these earphones. I needed a pair that wouldn't fall out when exercising and these do the job. Not the most amazing sound but I think given the price this shouldn't come as a huge surprise (mind you, quality isn't poor or anything but these don't provide much by way of bass, not a problem for me but might bother others). The main thing is that they stay in and are good price. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because you can't adjust the volume from the tiny console, you can only skip or replay tracks. Not a huge problem especially given the price and how quickly they arrived.

Excellent product!
I generally find earphones that function to allow you to have conversations on your phone falls behind in sound quality compared to earphones that are designed specifically for listening to music. Like many other earphones used for both music and phone conversations, the sound quality of this product is quite distant.. however among the many I have tried this far, the quality is one of it's best.. secure fitting as well. It does everything you expect and need it to do and delivers it well. Don't think you can expect anymore than this at this day and age's level of technology.

Amazing BUT
The product is good , yhe sound is loud and base is above. Average , a definate buy in the price range of about 600 INR , there is inline mic also which works well but the issue is there is only one btn on the mic housing which lets user play or pause the song and pick up calls but doesnt allow volume control. Other than this there is absolutely nothing to complaint about.

Simply the best
At first I thought it will be an ordinary earphone as the price tag was Rs.499 only. When I tried it on for the first time I was amazed, sound quality is excellent, good noice cancellation, built quality is strong and sturdy. The bass is awesome. After using it for a week, I certainly invest in a good product. To those who are looking forward to buy this headphone I highly recommend to get it. At this price range the sound quality is too good to be true.

Great value for money
As a long-time Sennheiser user, I find these to be great value for money. The sound quality is almost there (some bass, but it's okay overall), and the over-the-ear looping wire and built-in mic makes them very useful. It's been 8 months and no complaints so far. I know people are used to buying Rs. 100-200 ear phones, but with them you have to just compromise. At the other end are Sennheiser, etc., but they are too costly. I'd sincerely urge you to give these a try.
