I have a 14 mo that I want to teach colors to. Would this be an appropriate product if supervised closely? Or are the pieces too small? Thank you.

Some of the items in this set are very small and a child would need careful supervision to use them. However Learning Resources has another color sorting set called Farmers' Market Color sorting set ...the pieces in this are much larger but the set stores easily in the box it comes in. My 15 month old granddaughter has fun playing with them....hopes this helps.

Does it come with playdoh?

no playdoh but enough room you could add a really small container in each one. I added some of my own ideas in each one, Grandson had a ball!

Did they fix the color purple ??

There was no problem with my color purple. I do wish they weren't cardboard...
