Great book by a great guy
Great book by a great guy. Oh ok, so I've been fortunate enough to chat with Greg a few times in the past thanks to friends of friends, and every time I walked away I always thought "that chap is a super interesting guy", the type of chap you'd want at your dinner party. So when I saw he'd written a book, I thought I'm in!Now I'm a serious procrastinator at heart, no really serious. I know I'm doing it and yet I still can't stop myself from doing it. The advice in this book could quite literally be used in all walks of life, and is very goal orientated, but in a super structured way that I think could work for me. In fact I've started implementing it already in my own life, so here's hoping the next 6 months are gonna be the best and most productive yet. What helps make this book a step above other books designed to get the best out of you, is the examples. If you're in the UK then no doubt you'll have seen the work of Greg getting celebrities to achieve amazing things, and he weaves these examples into the book showing how the tips he's suggesting were used on particular challenges.Overall, I'd highly recommend this book to one and all. If you're looking to achieve something whether work based, sports based or anything else, this book will hopefully inspire you to take a structured approach and finish off what you set out to do with bells and whistles on.

Love Greg Whyte and what he does but was a bit disappointed in this. Too much self help and not enough celebrity anecdotes.

good planning and time management
Both the book 'Achieve the Impossible' and the author Professor Greg Whyte demand recognition, respect and plaudits. The book is an informative, 'how-to' manual written in a self-help style. It does not preach but nor does it shy from some inescapable truths; anything worth having cannot be achieved without hard work and determination, good planning and time management. Professor Whyte has written a book which by any yardstick is a good and thoroughly entertaining read. The author is a rare breed whom one imagines can achieve whatever he sets his mind to...and that mind is tuned and honed by decades as a top scientist and athlete. He combines acute and accurate observation with unswerving drive and way above average 'grit'. His 'lead from the front, do everything you ask others to do' approach is unique and is as refreshing as it is awe-inspiring. Read the book, follow the advice, become a better person.
