Wes is awesome

I was rather expecting a book that showed me how to play some of Wes' pieces, but the author makes it clear in the introduction that's not what he is setting out to do. I have no problem with the transcriptions being in standard notation only but that doesn't tell me where on the neck Wes played them, which is pretty important to get the Wes sound and, sometimes it's necessary to find a place where it's technically possible to play it.

I bought this fabulous piece of work recently, and it provides great insight to the divine musical virtuousity of Wes Montgomery. If one has learned basic chord theory and harmonization, studying his style will give a whole new understanding of jazzguitar.

I love this book! its in standard notation. no tableture. so make sure you can read treble clef.
