“Proud to be an American with this “American-made” flag pole!”
After spending a couple of weeks looking for a quality flag pole, I decided on the 21 foot Liberty. It’s construction is top quality. Walking my dog in the neighborhood I noticed that other poles doesn’t match this pole. The fact that it was made in the US was a huge selling point. It is made of brushed aluminum that give it a beautiful look. The top brass ball seems to be made of metal not cheap plastic. I fly two flags at once. The top flag is the current US flag, the lower flag is a historical flag for an event in the current month. It doesn’t seem to wrap and get twisted. Another nice feature is you can extend it fully or lower it by adjusting the three pole extensions. It has a double lock system, the ez-lock if you extend that part of the pole fully or the twist lock if not. This gives double security to the pole. The pole can also be taken out completely In extremely bad weather. Installation was pretty easy. I’m not too mechanical but I was able to install it by myself. Use the instructions that come with the kit, not the video on the internet. Dig a hole 26 inches deep. Line it with pea rock of about 3 inches. This leaves about one inch of the 24 inch sleeve above the ground. The key now is too make sure the sleeve is level. I pushed the sleeve into the pea rock. This will ensure no concrete gets into the sleeve and steady the tube. I also used two pieces of rebar on opposite sides of the sleeve by shoving it into the pea rock to steady it. To tighten the rebar around the sleeve I wrapped a solid rubber band around the rebar and the sleeve. This kept it remarkably steady. I also used pieces of wood shims to keep the sleeve from moving. Now level it. That is the key. I used 4 bags of 50 lb Quiksete fast set. I poured the Quiksete in buckets and threw it in dry around the sleeve one bag at a time. Just add water and mix. I did this one bag at a time four all four bags. Make certain that all the concrete is wet to the proper consistency but don’t add too much water. I had a lot of moist soil so I didn’t add as much water as was recommended. And make sure to keep that sleeve level! I made sure it was level after adding every bag of material. But the sleeve isn't really going to move after that Quiksete begins to set. That’s about it. I’m real excited about the flagpole. I hope this review helps others. Enjoy your flag pole!

Asthetically pleasing location, Structural integrity of the base, pole must be plum before __
I installed this myself in the winter below freezing. The assembly was very easy but the installation is not as easy in the cold because you need to keep the concrete from freezing. I read the instructions that you only needed to put the pole 20" below grade but our footings in Cleveland Ohio are below 36" to prevent it from heaving so I went down to 42" put in a 4" PVC with #4 Rebare basket around the 4" PVC filled the PVC with concrete to the recommended 20" below grade to insert the sleeve using concrete that sets in the cold (supplemental heat) and topping concrete (without stone in the mix). Make certain the pole is level before installing the topping concrete. This pole went through 40mph winds with flag installed and I will keep it up and flying the entire winter. The telescoping pole is great for residential application you do not need a 12' ladder to change the flag it lowers to your reach. The top solar flag pole light is OK but initially on a wintered cloudy day it varied in lumen output with the amount of sun during the day.It is now the focal point of our home and front yard and neighborhood. a perfect height. You will be very happy. As you can see I go to the extremes with the structural integrity of the base to make certain this pole will not be forced out of plumb with the excessive winds off of lake Eire. (Maybe too excessive by going to 3'6" in depth my choice not recommended by the manufacture)

Great flagpole
I just installed this a couple of weeks ago and tit has been doing great in the high winds we get. The installation was very easy. I did things a little different from the instructions, I first put the post in a 5 gallon bucket and then filled the bucket with 50lbs of concrete first. After a day of drying I then dug the hole and followed the rest of the instructions for putting the post in the ground. I thought putting the post in the ground made it easier to ensure it was straight up and down. The flag that came with it is high quality light weight material that looks great flying in the breeze.Update: May 2020I have had this flagpole up for over a year and it has stood the test of time perfectly. We have very strong winds and the pole is very flexible and has not bent. Even in high winds we have been able to bring it down if needed. This pole is worth every penny.
