A good, reliable, dry, traditional blue-black ink
I was very happy to find this ink available on Amazon. It's a nice blue-black, a good though not wildly amazing colour, but I needed a drier ink to tame my gusher of a Pilot Falcon. I always used blue-black in that pen anyway, and this is pretty close in colour to the Pilot ink I was using, but which was too wet in that pen. Now the pen writes much better and seems to do fine with the ink. I wouldn't recommend this ink for a pen that writes dry, but for a pen with very high flow (as most Pelikan pens are), this ink is great. I haven't tested it, but I believe it also has a decent amount of water resistance. I believe it has a little iron gall in it -- it does tend to darken on the page over time. I like that too.

My favorite ink so far.
This is my favorite ink.I've never had bleeding issues or weird spreading issues. It does write dry and nibs that seem smooth with lubricated inks will seem to have much more feedback.I love the color and shading. It's the perfect blue-black. It's not a weak color like Shin-Kai or too saturated like Sailor blue-black.It goes down wet in a lighter royal blue shade and darkens as it dries. Watching it change color as I write is enjoyable. It's not as water resistant as something like Noodler's bulletproof, but it's water resistant enough. I test by running the paper under my faucet for a while. It's true that a small amount of color does come off, but it's still perfectly readable afterward.

Good for Price
Can't say that this product is spectacular. The ink works, but the color is much lighter than I expected. I was expecting more of a dark forest green; sadly, this wasn't the case. But for the price, I would purchase again.

Well behaved iron-gall classicd
I enjoy this blue-black ink very much. It's got a very professional color, flows smoothly, and is very friendly to regular office paper. It doesn't feather or bleed through. This is an iron-gall ink, so it is very water resistant and with time it continues to turn darker. Because it is a drier ink, it will make "gusher" nibs to write moderately wet. A great ink I wish was available directly in the US. Thanks to Amazon, this ink is available to anyone who wants to buy at a great price.

What a Beautiful Ink!
I have to say that it really exceeded my expectations! I use it in my Cross pen, and although I've been using bottled ink for several years now, I had forgotten that it was possible to write so smoothly and clearly with a really good quality ink. By the way, if you're trying to improve your handwriting - a fountain pen is the way to go. The action of an ink pen creates a bit of drag on the paper, forcing your handwriting to slow just a bit, and that helps you to shape the letters more clearly. A really good ink, like Pelikan, almost makes you want to bring back the days of handwritten letters!

Fantastic Ink
This was my first ink, and years later is still my favorite. I have been suckered by Levenger's nice bottles before, but ended up with a bunch of clogs and scratchy writing. This Pelikan ink flows perfectly and gives a nice "juicy" line without feathering, and dries quickly, it also begins to flow extremely fast, requiring little to no priming before you begin writing. In addition, this bottles is huge! The color is sort of a grassy green with a hint of blue. A teal that leans heavily towards the green side, if you will. The writing is slightly transparent and seems to become a tad greener over time, which gives a nifty effect in diaries and planners.

Quality ink, despite having received wrong color.
I ordered this Pelikan Blue-Black bottle ink to accompany a Pelikan M600 pen as a gift. I received one of the two bottles I ordered yesterday, and was disappointed in discovering that the item I received was Pelikan Royal Blue, not Blue-Black. I only discovered this error after I removed the package's shrink wrap and opened the bottle to fill the pen. Despite not being what I had ordered, it is a good ink with good saturation and flow. The recipient of the pen did not complain about the color, so I will leave it at that. There is a price difference between the two colors, so I will be returning the second bottle should it turn out to be the wrong color again.Update (Caveat Emptor): I received a second bottle of Pelikan Royal Blue. It turns out that the Amazon barcode which is affixed to these bottles of Royal Blue actually identify this product as Blue-Black, which explains why I received two bottles of Royal Blue and not what I had ordered. If Amazon reads these reviews, perhaps they will fix this problem at their warehouses. If not, expect to receive a bottle of Royal Blue instead of Blue-Black.I was about to send this unopened bottle back, but the recipient of the pen likes the color, so it will stay in the family for now. It is a nice ink, with good color saturation and flow. It's just not my color.

nice highlighting color - will erase Lamy Blue
Very nice Highlighter Green. I use it in my Pilot Parallel. I found the Parallel with this ink is a very nice combination.Interesting thing is that the chemical composition contains something in common with the Lamy Blue erase pen... in that if you try to highlight your blue Lamy writing with this ink, your writing will disappear! Don't know if the yellow highlighter ink does the same thing. Of course this is not something important since you usually would not wet your water based writing with another water based ink... just found it interesting when putting a highlighted line down, and then after it was dry to try to write onto it (it was just a coincidence that I was using a pen filled with Lamy blue).
