Solid vegan protein powder
This is the best vegan protein powder that I've come across in many years of trying to determine which one is best. Yes, the flavor isn't the greatest but people need to realize that you're not supposed to mix this alone with a plant-based milk. Adding in agave syrup, honey, or some other sweetener (even with fruit) is the way to go. I typically take a Blender bottle, add two scoops of the protein powder, some honey, a teaspoon of chia seeds, and 2 heaping tablespoons of natural peanut butter and I get a decently tasting protein shake. This powder, which is sourced exclusively from farms in the United States and Canada (despite others falsely claiming that it's from China) has just three simple ingredients which you really can't compare relative to many other protein powders with ingredients that most people can't pronounce. If you want to run the risk of heavy metal contamination and ingesting random ingredients that are chemically-based then other protein powders are the way to go. This protein powder is totally worth the money in my book, especially since you know that you're getting a superior product that's actually naturally-based. I promise that I don't work for this company.

Have tastebuds? Save them and pass on this product!
I’ve read the reviews, I knew what I was signing up for but I took the chance anyways. I first tried one of the Naked Shake’s flavors and was really impressed (have since reordered more of the Naked Shake’s) so I thought I would give this a shot. I am no stranger to protein powders and have had my share of the good, the bad, and the ugly. For me, there are a few dealbreakers; 1. Macronutrients 2. Mixability 3. Flavor The macros in this powder are a little more middle of the road as I typically look for something with a better protein to carb ratio and this has more carbs than I usually aim for. The mixability is below average and that was clear within the first few uses. The first time I added water and then walked away, only to return a few minutes later and find a COMPLETELY SOLID formation in my bottle. Apparently I had not added enough water but there was no saving that serving so that went to the trash. The second time I made sure to add more water and it seemed to mix great until after a couple of minutes had past and everything settled to the bottom. And now for the flavor. Like I mentioned above, I’m no stranger to protein powders and have experienced some pretty nasty ones, however this one takes the cake. I like my powder to show some versatility and be good for all uses, whether that’s in a smoothie or by itself with a liquid of your choice. 1st attempt, water: nope, hard pass. Chaulk. Paste. No hint of chocolate whatsoever. Not even a bland protein powder taste, just gross. 2nd attempt, almond milk: this can sometimes be a lifesaver for lackluster powders, but almond milk didn’t even stand a chance. Once was enough to decide this was not fair to almond milk and no more would be wasted for the cause. 3rd attempt, smoothie: even the worst of the worst powders have typically been able to be salvaged and had a use as an addition to a smoothie. Added the powder with the normal ratios to a smoothie - nope, this over powered EVERYTHING. It wasn’t until I added nearly a pound of blueberries that I could taste anything aside from this protein powder. I try to avoid wasting food or supplements so I will hold onto this for awhile longer, but I’m really doubting I’ll be able to get through the entire container. And needless to say, I won’t be ordering again. Save your money (and your tastebuds), look elsewhere.

My honest review
Ok - so I added 10 ounces of milk with two scoops of the chocolate pea protein and used an electric hand blender to mix. When I opened the jar and gave it a good smell it actually smelled really good with a pleasant chocolate aroma. Unfortunately, it does not taste like it smells. The best way to describe the taste is nutty with a tiny tiny hint of cocoa after taste. It doesn't taste good but it doesn't taste bad either. It is very filling and tastes healthy and almost refreshing. I am going to try to mix it with almond milk and then coconut milk and compare to the taste to regular milk because I want to avoid dairy. Even though it doesn't taste like a milkshake it deserves 5 stars. Packed full of protein and only 3 ingredients - what more could you ask for ... besides maybe a little more of a chocolate taste - but I will be buying again. Its a winner in my book, and don't forget its made of peas - kinda cool! **Update*** Just tried it with unsweetened coconut milk and it tastes much better. Will be using coconut milk from now on.

No gas, but tastes like a$$
Pro: No gas or upset stomach at all anymore! I’m lactose intolerant, so whey proteins are horrid for me. I tried plant based and other pea proteins and my stomach was still a mess. I have a hard time getting my protein in and I was at my wits end. My doctor finally told me to find a pea protein without the artificial sweeteners because they tend to cause a lot of gas as well. My husband went on the hunt for no whey or artificial sweeteners, and NAKED PEA Protein is what he found. I decided to give it a try and I am so glad I did. I no longer have gas or upset stomach 24/7. Con: It tastes like a$$. It’s literally grainy gross. I do two scoops with 24oz of water. The first time I drank it I almost threw up. But after awhile, I’m used to it and it doesn’t phase me (which is good cause I wouldn’t let the tub go to waste). I got the chocolate one. I literally only mix it with water. I’m sure it might be ok if mixed with something else or added to the blender with fruit, but water is quick and fast for me on the go. I am glad I got this. I wish I was higher protein for two scoops you have to use to get to 25g, but it is what it is. In the end, I am glad I can enjoy a protein shake post workout and not have an upset stomach with farting my husband out of bed later. He’s happy too- he can finally wax his nose hairs again without fear of dying of toxic fumes in his sleep. 🙃

Not my fave
The quality of this protein powder is good, but MAN I cannot stand the taste. I legit feel like I'm eating dried peas with a little bit of cocoa powder. Yuck. I'll be switching back to the Naked Whey chocolate once I use this up. As a pro, this doesn't make me bloated like whey protein can. But I'll never purchase this again due to the taste!

Non Inflammatory Meal Replacement -Tasty Too!
Its amazing!! Thank you thank for creating an amazing SCD option of protein mix!! All of us on specialized diets due to auto immune disease etc appreciate the tastiness but moreso the product itself for being to have some added nutrients to our limited foods days!! I agree with what another seller says please always stay in business & don’t ever stop making this amazing drink! and don’t listen to all the negative input! Most likely those people are coming from liking/consuming fake sugars all the extra ingredients and milk based products which have different texture! Obviously! Not apples to apples at all!! Hey people this has only a few ingredients. Which that alone makes it super amazing!! Way too many products in so so many of all the other types!! & they almost all Have a gazillion ingredients! Wayy to many for those of us with some digestive issues, which seems to be more and more people these days (go figure) we need fewer ingredients instead of all the fake sugars & all the fake this and that! This stuff is amazing! Let your taste buds change away from all the sweet ingredients and you will think so too and appreciate it too! Instead of just writing awful reviews, realize that many of us can’t just have anything out there and we need these great companies to stay around so, like our mom’s always said, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all & go try another product!

Too thick and no flavor.
So thick and grainy with very little flavor of any sort. It was supposed to be chocolate but all thee adults in this household didn't taste chocolate. I tried it as a drink mixed in water. I had to use extra water just to get it mixed in. It's so thick! I tried it mixed in Greek yogurt because that's my go to "treat" when I'm wanting something. It was super hard to mix, very grainy and not a good flavor. We ended up throwing almost the entire container away because it's just nasty. I have other protein powders that we enjoy, was just trying to add another for more choice, so I know they're not all like this. Very disappointed, because NAKED is expensive compared to some. Not what you wanted to see from a customer, but I have to be honest.

If this had tasted good, it would have been perfect.
I need you all to understand that this tastes both clean and also pretty bad at the same time, but it almost cannot be defeated based on the simplicity of the ingredients list and the macros coupled with this price point. But the taste, oh man. It smells like chocolate, but it tastes a little bit like bitter tree bark. It is not sweet at all, and even if you mix it in a shaker bottle for the recommended time, it's still a bit chalky/gritty. I am using water to mix this, and no added fruits, nut butters, etc., because I am trying to un-fat myself and can't afford the extra calories. I'm going to try to find a sugar free liquid sweetener to add to it, because 5lbs is a lot to choke down with this taste. I wish they had just added some maltodextrin and called it good. It's not the worst I've ever had, that trophy goes to Now Sports brand Unflavored Pea Protein (which tastes like a rabbit shat and urinated on a haybale and you've decided to blend it and drink it). It's just disappointing that this was so close to being perfect but they absolutely lost the plot on flavor.

Personaly I don't like the taste and the texture
Maybe the quality of the product it's high, this is the reason why I bought it, due the natural ingredients., but personaly I don't like the taste and the texture. Taste as a sour stuff. Someone said mushy peas, and could be similar and the texture is so think. Doesn't taste a ls a chocolate flavour. I feel I have waste my money due I'm feeling sick when I try it. I wanted to buy a small size but they didn't have any smaller than 2kg.

Amazing!
The health benefits alone make this protein worth it. Literally only 3 ingredients! I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying the taste isn’t the best. But honestly, it is to be expected when consumed alone. It’s ground up peas and cocoa powder lol I make a smoothie, very simple, 4 ice cubes, 3/4 cup water, 1 frozen banana, 2 scoops protein and 1 tbsp of nut butter. Legit tastes like a dessert. Will never buy any other protein. You guys better stay in business forever 😁

Not nice
Ordered this protein as a replacement for my regular nuzest, which has now gone up to £50 a kg! This tastes really bad, even when blended with all sorts the bitter taste remains. I’m struggling to choke any of this down and am likely to bin the rest which is a massive shame.

Disgusting and zero customer service
I bought chocolate flavored protein powder. I've had pea protein powders in the past, and while they aren't the best, the chocolate flavor usually makes it edible at least. This is the most disgusting thing I've ever ingested and I can force feed almost anything. DO NOT BUY! Luckily Amazon customer service was amazing and helpful, and helped me get a resolution. If it was described as cardboard box flavored then it would be accurate. Disgusting. I wish I could give zero or negative stars for the product

Great for Lactose Intolerance, but Taste Could Be Better
As someone who is lactose intolerant, I’ve been looking for a protein powder that works for me, and this pea protein powder has been a great choice. It keeps me full and provides a solid boost of protein without any issues. I’ve noticed good results with it in terms of energy and satiety. However, the taste is not the best – it’s a bit earthy, but it’s still manageable when mixed with smoothies or other flavors. Overall, it’s a great option for those with lactose intolerance!
