Aquabliss SF500 Daily Essential+ Shower Filter - Oil Rubbed Bronze

Disclosure: I am writing to explain why this filter did not work for us. So why the five-star rating? Because of the great customer support from AquaBliss, refunding the purchase price immediately upon our contacting them. So here's what happened for us: We have a whole-house water softener to treat the hard water from our well. We bought the SF500 filter because our water is still somewhat hard despite what the softener accomplishes. Installing the filter was easy and took only a few minutes. Unfortunately our water got much worse after the filter was installed. Shampoo and soap wouldn't lather and our skin and scalp felt extremely dry and itchy. After discussing this with AquaBliss it appears very likely that the filter conflicts with what the water softener is intended to do. Perhaps by removing the salt ions added by the softener to soften the water? Whatever the cause, you probably don't want to order this filter if you have a water softener treating the water before it gets to the filter. Again, AquaBliss was great in how they assisted us in figuring out why the filter didn't work for us.

My husband and I recently bought a home that has well water. We got the water tested as it smelt like sulfur/rotten eggs when the water got hot, make it unbearable to shower. Through the test, we were able to see the water is high in iron and manganese, causing the water to smell awful. I bought this filter and prayed that it would work to filter out the smell as it didn’t necessarily claim to and I didn’t see any reviews for this specific concern. We have been using it for 2 days now and it works! No more awful smell at all. This will be an interim solution as we are waiting to install a whole house water filtration system so I am not concerned about the longevity of it, but I am so relieved that it works for now!

The filter portion of this product is perfect. The smell in my water was gone immediately and I finally felt like my water was clean. However, when I first unscrewed it to make sure the filter was already inside (it was), I had to have my boyfriend unscrew it and it was even tough for him. A couple of weeks later, it somehow got a little unscrewed, and in screwing it back, the little rubber piece got stuck outside and now there is water spraying out of it and nobody can get it unscrewed. I have no idea how anyone would be unscrewing it easily when it comes time to change the filter.

The brushed bronze look is perfect! I could immediately tell the water is perfectly filtered. Living in the city, there is a constant chlorine smell that leaves my eyes burning and skin irritated. The smell is gone! Here's the downside: This filter immediately started leaking when installed. I didn't realize this was an issue until I had to dig for reviews that indicated this being a common problem with the mid-seam.

Had to remove twice within two weeks. It now has no water flow. I have no idea what is going on but will not buy again. Lasted two weeks. I have fantastic water pressure. Anyone know why this stopped flowing water

Easy to install. Very nice and the oil rubbed bronze matches the metal finish of my existing showerhead

So easy to install ! I could tell the difference on my skin and hair ! I had a different model but when I ordered the filter for the AquaBliss I ordered wrong filter the upgraded version has a slight larger filter , so I decided to order the case that fit the larger filter . I’m glad I did I liked the other one also but I liked the fact this filter goes either way . The other one had only one way …. I gave this one a 5 star because I feel that it was much easier to install filters 💖💞

Filter was good for about 2 years although leaked the entire time I had this product. Right at the 2 year mark the plastic began to separate and the shower pressure completely wore out the filter casing. Began to spray all over bathroom. Does a good job filtering while it works, but now I’m stuck with a bunch of replacement filters. Not great longevity for the money.

The water here was terrible, new buildings and roadworks outside. My eyes aren’t burning and my skin feels better.

Markedly softens the water

L’eau paraît plus légère, et la peau aussi est un peu plus souple. Très bon produit, je recommande vraiment si vous avez des soucis de calcaire etc
