KALIFANO Authentic Natural Arthropod Trilobite Fossil - Morocco

The item came fast and looks very cool. I had a little problem in shipping but I reached out to Kalifano and they fixed the issue with outstanding service. I would recommend this company to any person that asks about where to purchase fossils. My son wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up and he's going to love it for Christmas. Buy with confidence.

The first couple of images KALIFANO attaches makes it look like you're going to get a very well prepared fossil. You get what you pay for, the fossil is one 2.5cm, and more closely resembles the later photos. Just don't expect you'll get one with as much detail as the initial photos. Definitely won't see details of eyes, etc. Still good to have something that's up to 500m years old.

The specimen I received looks very much like the photo shown. It arrived in a plastic pouch with a info card in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Apparently the company, Kalifano, has shops in Vegas, too.The trilobite I received is about 0.75" long and 0.50" wide embedded in matrix about 1" high. The total dimensions when looking down upon it are about 2.00" long by 1.75" wide and sits about 1.5" tall.It's not a large specimen by any means but the segments and lobes are well defined and the faceted eyes can be seen quite well.I nice bit of 300 million year old natural history at a good price point.

*UPDATEKalifano reached out and replaced the broken specimen with a new one that did not have any breakage. Customer service was quick to respond to my issues. The replacement is much more in line with how it is depicted in the product picture. My main take away from this is if you are unsatisfied with the purchase reach out to Kalifano and they will probably help you to make it right.Stand and trilobite was obviously broken and then re-glued. The thought of having a million year old specimen of a extinct creature is much cooler then what is actually sent out. Would not get something like this again over the internet. I would recommend waiting and trying to get something similar in person.

I love this b/c it sparks conversation. It's super cool. Can't really say for sure about its authenticity even though it comes with a certicate. It looks a bit fake up close. But I still like it.
