GBX Men's Mayne Oxford

I was looking for a conformable shoe to wear while I work in retail. I saw these on sale so I figured, "Why not?". Shoes came in the next day and they are very comfortable and fit my foot which is a 13 in mens. I got the black pair and they go well with everything I have. Only thing I can think is maybe how the bottom is a bit slippery when you first get them. Anyways nice shoe for the price. I wouldn't mind getting some different pairs of GDX shoes in the future. They're actually pretty cool.

The price was good but extremely flat with no support. I had to buy insoles in order to make them more comfortable.

Came with a slight tear on the stitch on the right heel, which I feared would get larger but thankfully didn't. I guess that's just my specific shoe so I won't factor it into the review. These are a bit better than vans I've owned in the fast, I find they fit better but as someone with a smaller arch, I still find them very lacking like most other canvas sneakers in arch support. I wore them almost daily except for the winter months for a total of about 9 months and they held up surprisingly well! The first thing to go is the sole about 5-6 months in. I'm fairly lightweight for a male (130) so this may factor into how long these held up.

I originally bought these shoes about a year ago at a Nordstrom Rack. I liked them very much. When it came time to replace them, I couldn't fine the shoes at a single retail store. Finally, I looked on here and was glad to see my size and preferred color (navy blue) was for sale! I really like this shoe.Bonus pic: here is a side by side between old and new. As time goes on, the color quickly fades away.

Great summer shoe for casual dress or the boat. Comfortable and stylish, great price. Will probably buy another pair for next summer

This is less about the shoe itself than about the way it's pictured. The GBX 'Mayne' is a pretty basic deck/skate sneaker. The blue sole provides a nice splash of color and accent.If my experience with the other GBX shoes I have is any indication, this is a comfortable and reasonably durable shoe. My problem is with the picture. In the picture, the whole shoe is a fairly bright optical white. In fact, the foxing (the rubber 'belt' around the base of the shoe) is a much darker off white, with an almost greenish cast to it. If that's not a problem for you, than you're good. If you're looking for a really fresh pair of all-white kicks, this is probably not a great choice.

Ive been trying to find a basic shoe like this for summer wear w/shorts and other warm weather attire and really liked these when I first saw them on amazon and liked the price even better. I got them in the mail the other day and I normally wear either a 11.5 or 12 in sneakers and dress shoes. I went w/the 12 but they are HUGE on me. They definitely seem like a 12.5 or perhaps a 13 even, Im returning them and getting an 11.5. I suggest going down at least a half size or maybe 1 if you want them.August 13, 2014 ***UPDATE***Well second time definitely didn't improve things here. I just got the size 11.5 the other day and they seemed to fit well when trying them on. I decided to wear them out over the weekend w/a pair of white ankle socks as I did when I tried the size 12s I ordered prior and the same things happened again w/the 11.5. The shoes "bled" blue ink all over my white socks! It happened previously w/the size 12s and I didn't include it in the prior review because I thought it was just fluke but nope happened again. I washed both pairs of socks 2xs, once w/standard laundry soap AND then w/bleach. No go, as I still have some, not mostly, blue streaks on my socks. I already complained to Amazon about this and they were very concerned and took care of everything w/issuing me a full credit and no cost on shipping for BOTH returns. Now that is some damn good customer service boys and girls. Save yourself the hassle and don't buy these until Amazon speaks w/the company supplying these and fixes the color bleeding issue. Its a shame because I really liked the shoes overall. Very comfortable, looks great w/shorts and a shirt and the 11.5 fit nicely. But obviously I don't want "blue" streaked socks each time I wear them. Very disappointed in the GBX brand but Amazon made the situation better in the end.

My husband had been trying to find white canvas sneakers like the old Champion ones he got years ago that were way past their prime. These are the closest we could find - and at a really great price. He normally wears a Size 8.5,which were not available, but since a lot of people felt they ran a bit small, I decided to take a chance with the 9. They looked so much like the Champions that I actually ordered two pairs.The fit is fine, and he is reallly happy with them!
