Works Well, but the price ...
THE LITTER I love that this litter makes my bathroom smell better. I can remove the clumps usually pretty easily, though they do stick to the pan or liner. If you use the pan without a liner, the product will adhere to the box, and takes a lot of work to get it out. I do not recommend using this without a liner. Though I don't end up with a smelly slushy box by the end of a month, I am going through more litter than I did before, and now they are raising the prices. I have used 3 bags already since I ordered them. I purchased 1 bag from another source on May 21st, and two more bags on May 25 because you have to replenish the amount scooped out in clumps. I rated 4 instead of 5 on the "easy to clean" category, because you HAVE to use a liner if you want it to be easier to clean. If your cat's nails are sharp and go through the liner, you may have to deal with some of the silica and urine getting underneath onto the Box itself and getting stuck there. In that case, you will still have to deal with some scraping and may need to remove the liner with the clean litter in it first to do it. Still , it wasn't that bad. It happened to me, and I just carefully lifted the liner with the clean litter in it, set it to the side to clean the box, and then replaced the torn liner, carefully lifted the prev one that had clean litter in it, and poured it into the new liner. You NEED to scoop it every day. For me, it's multiple times a day. How clean the box is seems to help cut down on how much of it ends up outside the box. Cat's don't like going in dirty boxes. Forcing them to do that will produce more mess, because they will try to stand on the edges of the box, or have to dig more, etc. I do generally have to sweep in front of and at the sides of the box, but at least I am not stepping on sharp pieces of crystal every time I go into the bathroom (the only place we have where keeping a box makes any sense.) THE PRICE I previously paid $28 for two 8 lb bags of litter for ONE cat every month using a name brand larger crystal litter for $16 lbs and I already thought that was steep. Now I have to use 10 lbs of the finer scoopable one every two weeks, and the price just bumped up to $11 for 5 lbs. At this rate I will be spending $44 dollars a month on litter alone! So I do like the litter better than what I used to use, but I hate the price. I worked out how much per pound this litter is compared to the already expensive one I was using before. Keep in mind I have to use more of this one too. The expensive name brand litter I was using costs about $1.75 per pound. This litter is $2.20per pound. I think the price stinks, especially since I have to use twice as much per month as the other litter. Not happy at all with the price. Silica is Silica. I already thought the $1.75 a pound was too much, as I have to use TWO bags for one cat per month. The line that one bag lasts a month with one cat is just not true. Also, their instructions to dump the whole box of litter every month? NO WAY, especially not at these prices! The litter stays very clean when you can scoop out the large clumps and any small wet bits that clump together. There is no reason to dump it all out after a month other than for them to make more money.

Holy Grail!
Though I am a new cat mom, I have spent the last three years trying to find the ideal cat litter for my needs. I have purchased the electronic cat litters with the crystal option kitty litter. I have been gone back to regular kitty litter boxes with clay. What I have learned overtime is that I have a low tolerance for tracking and for smell. With those two things in mind, I have tried many kitty litters. This one is nearly perfect…. Call me crazy but I feel that if I add a bit of ‘Fresh Step Advanced Clumping Cat Litter, Outstretch’ to this kitty litter - this recipe is Perfect. So essentially, I do a 16 oz bag and mix with a bag of these crystals. And voila. Perfection! Number one there is significant reduction in smell, which is a big issue for me. I have already had visitors. Tell me that the smell is significantly improved — if not completely absent. Then there is the clumping – there is perfect clumping with this combination. I just scoop with minimum fuss twice a day and I have a very clean kitty litter box. Also, I can go longer periods of time without cleaning the kitty litter box as opposed to my other options in the past. I believe I have been able to go 2 to 3 months without completely cleaning out the kitty litter and kitty litter box. Downside? There is a bit of tracking…. But I think this goes with the territory with having a cat. And I will take a little bit of tracking any day because this is really working out for me.

Doesn't work in Litter Robot.
Tried this in Litter Robot 4. It didn't work. The clumps stuck to the walls of the box and wouldn't release. The crystals probably work well in a regular litter box, but is too expensive for me to use it that way. Lol

Clumps a little too well, kind of messy, but otherwise as described
This clumping litter does a great job clumping, however, it clumps so well that it literally glues clumps to the bottom of my cat box. While it is much easier to sift clumps in my sifting cat box, this loses a star because I lose out on the ease of changing the litter box as I have to scrape and scrape and then use an old spoon to force the glued on litter thru the sifting box. It also is supposed to reduce mess from the cat tracking litter from the box, but due to the small granular shape and weight of the clumping litter, I have noticed an increase in tracked litter, not a decrease as claimed-another star off for this because reducing tracked litter was a reason I switched litters, and this did not live up to that claim, and in fact made it worse. It does reduce odor better than the regular clay clumping litter I used to use, but I can't say the reduction in odor is completely credited to the litter because I changed to a cat box with a lid and door that has odor filters on the top at the same time. The cat box used to have a strong odor very soon after changing due to the small size of my home, and now there is virtually no smell, even after having this same litter in the box for weeks. The reason I believe that the litter is partially responsible for this is because when I clean the closet from the box I do not notice a strong odor with the top off the litter box so the litter is helping control the odor much better than the clay I used previously. Having to get clumps removed before this litter was an unpleasant task, and odor was stronger for sure. I don't think I will buy this litter again, due to the difficulty of removing glued on crusty litter and increase in tracking litter, but would but this over regular clay if I didn't find something that works better than this litter. It is definitely better than the clay type, but needs improvement.

QuickCrete for your cats
This litter is an actual nightmare. I use stainless steel litter boxes. Lifechanger. Easy to clean and the best. This litter however is closer to concrete mix than cat litter. It’s clumpy but it’s sticky when wet and adheres to my 3 cats feet and the walls of the litter box. I actually have to chisel it off with a sharpened paint scraper to even make a dent. It’s horrible. It’s just a clump of cement in 2 days and it smells horrible. I can’t even explain how much I hate it. Never get this litter. Every other option by this brand is great. If you want wet cement all over your fur babies feet and your floors and carpets this is the litter for you. I’d only use this if I wanted to build a retaining wall with a little sparkle in the mortar. I can’t see any other use for it. As a cat litter, Terrible. 0 stars.

Best litter hands down
This is the best litter I’ve tried. It’s the best of both worlds, it absorbs odor like crystals and clumps like clay litter. I recommend using this with a pan liner, because it’ll stick to the bottom of the pan if you don’t. I don’t understand the low stars, because it’s a really good cat litter. It’s expensive, but worth every dollar. I will never use anything else.

Well worth the trouble of the concrete clumping
My favorite crystals. And I got a giggle out of the reviews that comment "you could build a house with this stuff", because it's soooo true. But I don't care, the trade off is worth it. No more litter odor, you don't have to dump the whole pan every week and you just scoop out what is used. Unfortunately once it gets wet and hardens, you have to kinda chisel it away from the sides and bottom of the litter box. I literally keep an old butter knife next to the litter box to pry it away from the sides. I did see where someone said they were going to try using a liner. I haven't tried that yet but plan to. But rock hard clumps aside, I love this crystal litter because it saves me so much money and my house no longer smells like a litter box. I clean the box out once a week because my cat is outside half the day. I just scoop out the used stuff and spinkle a new top layer on. I never have to dump the pan and I never waste any litter. The little sticking to the sides is a small price to pay for the litter lasting me a full month and my house never stinking of cat toilet.

best crystal litter I've tried, love it!
It is as stated, low dust, soft on paws, micro crystals, clumps well, and stays fresh. I have 2 cats, both used it right away, no hesitation which I might have expected, a change from the regular litter I was using. I left the box out with the litter they were used to. They actually preferred this litter a lot more. This is the only litter I will order from now on. Perhaps a bit more expensive than other litters, but it is worth it to me, especially with the low dust, now all my furniture, tables, etc. are less covered, so I do not have to continually clean!!

Messy
After 12 hours of putting this out, I had to dump it. The litter got EVERYWHERE around my home. The tracking is horrible. It’s super tiny and fine so easy to spread around the home.

Awful litter
This litter is terrible. If you don’t scoop within 2 days as on the package it turns into a black sludge. It clumps SO much a bag didn’t even last me a week! I hate this stuff!! Do not recommend!!
