This is a very delicate product and I don't need anything delicate outside in the Texas elements. I found that... 1. You cannot have the water on and turn the sprayer nozzle turned off - the minor pressure build up causes the delicate hose to bulge. 2. You cannot have your water on full blast to spray far - causes the delicate hose to bulge. I only wanted this for watering plants on the back patio and along the back of the house. Because it's such a hassle to handle a heavy hose all the time, I thought this would be perfect/super lightweight and I would water more to keep stuff from dying. But those few times I used this like a regular outdoor hose damaged it. Under the orange fabric is a CLEAR, CHEAP, RUBBER/PLASTIC hose.The only way I can see this lasting is if you turn your water on half power and NEVER turn the water off at the nozzle, turn it off altogether, treat it very delicately. Although I did not measure it, I believe it is 75 feet when in use. I am a petite woman and had no trouble moving the hose once it was filled with water. It retracted quite well. I have always used a "Fireman's" nozzle from Home Depot, however this hose came with an excellent selectable garden nozzle. It rotates through the following selections: full, angle, shower, mist, center, flat, cone, & soaker. It also has a small clip to keep the nozzle in the ON position. The hose came with the shut off lever already in the ON position. However, the lever has an arrow that indicates to move the lever to turn it on. At first, this was a bit confusing. Just realize that the lever has to be in line with the hose for the water to flow. The lever is very easy to operate. I took pictures of the internal crimping to show the quality. I keep this hose out of sunlight and make sure that it is not bent at the nozzle when it is stored.
