well made, and stylish
This is the second Veradek planter I have bought. They are very nice looking, and sturdy. I would recommend spraying to hasten the rusty finish, but only if you keep it outside. The sprayed on rust formula works very well, but the rust tends to get thick and flake off somewhat. If it's outside, that doesn't matter so much, and it seems to really stabilize the rust, so it doesn't flake off anymore. Well worth the money. Rust formula: Mix in a spray bottle: 16 oz Hydrogen Peroxide;2 oz. white vinegar; 2t salt. Shake to dissolve salt. Be careful to keep out of eyes. Spray, let dry, spray again, let dry again, spray a third time if desired. Outdoor weather will strengthen and deepen the rusty look.

Very nice and worth the money
These are sturdy, very well designed, and built with 18 gauge steel. I was pleasantly surprised with how nice they are. No sharp edges and parts fit together easily. Worth the money in my humble opinion. We had an issue with FedEx on the delivery. One of the planters got separated from the others and was ping-ponged around FedEx facilities throughout the country for several days. Veradek was very helpful in locating the box even after FedEx gave up. Fantastic customer support.

This is a great Product...
It may take some delicate dexterity to fit the screw and wing nuts in the bent side attachments and the close spaces makes it difficult get the "Allen" wrench engaged to make to make the final tightening (a shorter length of the small end of the wrench would help). But overall, the quality and design of the planter boxes makes it all worth while!

Easy to build due to great design
This planter was designed with "floating nuts" making the building process infinitely easier. The nuts can move around a little when inserting the bolts, making things easier to "line up". You don't have to get all the parts exactly in line for everything to go together. Additionally, the "floating nuts" don't require a wrench on one side while tightening with the standard Allen wrench on the other side. Nice! Finally, the corners of the planter were beveled instead of using butt joints which have a more professional look. If I had a complaint, I suggest the offset from the deck be increased. There isn't much room under the planter, but this is easy enough to fix. An excellently designed planter!

Well built.
Well built and strong planter box. Some shipping damage that I could fix with channel lock. I suggest a cloudy/cooler day for assembly, as the metal got very hot in the sun. The wing nuts were frustrating to install. The rust needed no coaxing (the picture is after only two days.

Lots of character
This is an extremely durable and attractive planter. It will really pop on your patio, deck or planted areas. Easy to assemble and the treatment for oxidizing the steel is inexpensive and simple. It is heavy once filled so it should be in place while it’s empty. Look forward to many years of enjoying this planter.

Quality planter
This is top quality steel and is worth the price (I bought mine prior to tariffs though). Ages well. Heavy.

Beautiful
Beautiful planter. I Have had these for 3 years now. Mine rusted right away. I did have to move them to another location in my garden though due to them leaving deep rust marks on my concrete patio I originally bought them for. Other than that they are very heavy sturdy planters with a great modern shape.

Love it;
You do not need to aid the rusting. Just leave it out, it started right away with me. Very solid. Good weight. Easy to assemble. Just assemble it outdoors as you will get dirty/rust stains on your clothes and surfaces.

Nice when put together…
I like it very much now that it’s outside. It was very tricky to put together. The instructions don’t address this. I would have liked a bit more info. After 45 minutes, I did figure it out. It will be tougher for people who have larger fingers. Two advanced degrees did not help.

Great look & easy assembly
Awesome product- easy assembly. Bleeds a bit rust in the beginning, but looks great!

READ THE AD CAREFULLY
This planter comes as raw metal and is supposed to rust over time to the colour portrayed in the ad. Clearly I didn’t read the ad well enough but I also don’t recall any photos in the ad of the planter in its untrusted form. This item was totally unusable for its intended location. The rusting process would not just happen magically. It would be slow and messy leaving rust all over the patio; and I doubt it would rust to anywhere near the evenness of the colour portrayed or even be the colour portrayed. I did process a return. The return label clearly said postage required. It is quite heavy and would cost a fair bit to return. I donated it to some unsuspecting prize table for a local golf tournament.

Try and escape from this, you bamboo!
The steel seems pretty thick. The rusting process was easy; just took a few days for the 8 mistings/dryings. I'm hoping that the plain steel fasteners will last as long as the planter.
