The newer bottles have a few design changes that seem to make them sturdier than the previous ones (see pics: Drinkmate font is bolder, the cap has some extra ridges on the inside, the bottom panel is black, and the base no longer has “Made in Taiwan” printed). I’ve usually been concerned with these bottles holding carbonation - definitely as they get older they don’t seem as bubbly right off the pump, and can sometimes get flat within a few hours - however (maybe because these are fresh out of the box) these are a nice surprise, holding crisp bubbly carbonated water off the pump and after a few hours.
