Will the non-cutting end fit into a drill press?

The end should fit a drill press like the end of a normal drill bit.  They are round just like a drill bit.

Can these be used on biothane?

What is Biothane, and where do you buy it? Never heard of it!

I'd say you can use these on Biothane if you can use other steel punching or cutting tools on it.  See my review, if you want a really long winded review and necessary mod to these punches to make them effective.  I was just using them the other day, and granted, on thinner leather than the regular 8oz we use, but just 'tap' and I had perfect holes.  The little tap force allows more precise holes to be cut... I'm just saying this because the mod took these from normal c made junk, to tools that I actually enjoy using, produce top notch, like totally professional on a $5k handbag, results.  Like one tap and done, hole is perfect.

And an FYI, Owden, as a brand... they've been hit and miss for us. If you're interested in some of their other tools, check to see if I've done a review for them, I tend to leave long winded, but thorough reviews if I have experience with the item, or what is standard in the market/profession.

Will the 1.5 mm punch make a clean hole through an Apple rubber/silicone watch band?

Yes it should...  I have used these punches on thick leather belts with great results.

I need to make holes in a cardboard box. Will this work and what does the hole punch hook to?

It should work.  It is made for leather.  It does not hook to anything.  It is a hand held metal hole punch that you hit with a non-metal hammer to punch the holes.  This set is 1mm to 5mm in diameter (about 1/32" to  3/16").
