REXING G600 Dash Cam Dual Front and Rear with 265 Degree Angle 1080P HD Dashboard Camera for Car Vehicle

This is a good entry level dash cam. I paid $69.99 for mine and I'm very happy with it so far. I tucked the power cable out of view and installed the camera at the top of the front windshield just above the mirror, and from the driver's point of view you can't even tell it's there. The video quality is great even in low light/night on the left sided camera that records in 1080p, but the other camera (720p on the right side) has a noticeable drop in quality and (at least on my unit) license plates are hardly legible at night. I have that camera pointed toward the interior, so no big need for clarity there. Long story short: if you're looking to get a decent entry level dash cam, you can't really go wrong with this one. I definitely recommend it, especially if you can pick it up under $100. One tip after some research and trial/error: if you want a unit that will record out of both front and rear windows you want to look for a unit with a separate camera for the rear window. I'm completely happy with this one, but my next dash cam will definitely have a separate camera for the rear!

I would give this camera 5 stars easily, as it has good picture and sound quality, it's small and conveniently hides behind the mirror so that it does not obstruct driver's view. However, one main concern that i have is the inconsistant function of the menu button. I got the camera a few week ago and at the beginning had to turn on/off the cam in order to get the menu come up and now it stopped responding completely. Another minor (might be bigger problem for others) issies for me is the cam that looks back (or at the driver in my case) has no night vision and the pic is completely dark at night.I reached out to Rexing customer service regarding the menu button issue and we will see what they say.

update 10/16/2016Nothing arrived from Seller. If I can't install the dashcam on the windshield, useless for me.It's time to return.but the worst thing is I missed return date. I bought 8/3/2016. I used my last chance to return the dash camera for waiting seller's promised part to install again, instead of "Just return". I was stupid. Wasting time, WAsting money.update 10/5 2016Seller immediately sent me a generously helpful answer. I am waiting for suction mount kit from them. I really love the camera's size, function, design and everything. I tried 3 dash cam before with my other cars. But I choose this for my Maserati because I like this most. Two cameras can be adjusted by your fingertips only and it will stay very stable. The shape is slim and narrow so it fits the top of inner side windshield. In addition, you can see your back seat though a monitor while you are driving because the camera for the back is almost middle of the windshield. I hope I can upload some pictures after re-installing.original / 9/28/2016I love this and satisfied, but it fell down a week ago. How can I get a new sticky tape to install on a windshield again? If it stays well enough, I highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. I bought this product for two reasons 1) because I drove for Uber and wanted to keep a record of my driving in case of any accidents/incidents inside the vehicle and 2) because I was preparing to make a long-cross country drive, would be towing, and wanted a record in case of any incidents. I had just purchased a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, and wanted to make sure I had everything I needed to protect my new car. I'll walk through my review in detail.Summary:It writes the video files over just as it says it should. It shoots both cameras simultaneously. It records upon start up when plugged in. The battery is virtually non-existent -- this unit needs to be plugged in at all times.The Unit:The unit is structured in a heavy plastic. It is smaller than I expected, which is a good thing and takes up less space on the windshield. The 2 cameras are easily turned and lock into place well. The screen does not display in true HD, and no one should expect it to do so. The screen controls are a bit difficult to follow, and not intuitive. The instructions are not the most helpful. However, the controls can be learned with trial and error. The mount to the front windshield is easy enough. The camera is easily attached to and removed from the windshield.The Cameras:The cameras are good during the daytime. The 1080p camera I don't think shoots in true 1080, but it does a very good job. The angle is surprising short, and doesn't get both sides of the vehicle. One other issue is the glare from the sun. I moved the camera down in an attempt to compensate for this, but even so, the image is greatly affected by this during the day time. The interior video camera, the 720 one, does a decent job of recording the vehicle's interior during the daylight hours.At night, however, the cameras are not very good. Inside the vehicle, the camera is jet black absent the passing street light shining into the car. This is even with those new faint "night lights" in newer vehicles these days to give a slight illumination to the interior. Seeing anything in the car at all is virtually impossible.As to the exterior, the same glare issue with the sun happens with other vehicle's headlights, or my own headlights reflecting off of vehicles in front of me. It makes license plates very difficult to read in the video, and what is actually going on is also very difficult to see. If what you're trying to see is the big picture, then the cameras will do the job, but if you're looking for details, these cameras are not the best at night.Audio:The audio picks up plenty of noises in the vehicle. Doesn't miss anything. Does everything it should be expected to.I will upload some of the images and videos from my trip of both day and night driving here in the next several days.
