Supco SZ3081180 Refrigerator Freezer Defrost Timer For Sub Zero 3081180, Electrolux 5303917634

Easy to replace my old timer which was making a loud grinding noise although it still worked. The part spec for the Model 561 says that the 3081180 is a 6 hours / 21 minute timer (i.e., 6 hour cycle, 21 minute defrost). The spec on the Supco is 8 hours / 20 minutes. It doesn't seem to make a difference - the freezer performs well. In fact, the old timer that was in my Model 561 was a 3081110 (24 hour cycle) - I guess it was replaced at some point in the distant past?

This unit arrived the next day and fit perfectly. It took less than 5 minutes to install. Don’t waste your money or time on the Maytag man for this one It has been doing what it’s supposed to do now for several weeks..my 32 yo fridge is chill

And at a FRACTION of the price of the OEM part. It has worked FLAWLESSLY for 2 years now with no indication of any trouble. Meanwhile, I have friends who haven't done well with the genuine OEM part. It's rare that you get a better product at a fraction of the price, but this is one of those rare moments. I highly recommend it. It's been great for me!

This part is identical to the Sub Zero brand Defrost timer for about 1/3 the cost. I was able to solve an icing issue in my 24 year old Sub Zero for $21. I highly recommend the item!

I ordered this and replaced it myself. It is working well. I failed to let the ice hidden behind the back of the freezer wall defrost before installing, so it was unable to catch up with defrosting. Once that was taken care of the freezer is cooling properly again. Easy to install.

Drop in replacement for the timer in my Sub Zero 590. Much cheaper and quieter.

Timer looked exactly as the original although the cycle time was a little longer. What can I say, a few bucks for the part, two screws and a connector and my 30yr old Sub Zero is working just fine again.

Very easy to replace this part. Took a day to equilibrate and no more noisy freezer from fan blade rubbing on ice build up. Thought we were going to have to replace the 25 year old refrigerator for close to $10,000. Phew! It’s cold and quiet again.
