Gator EFX Hard Tri-Fold Truck Bed Tonneau Cover | GC24029 | Fits 2021 Ford F-150 5' 7" Bed (67.1")

Maybe I don't have it perfectly installed but it seems like it could have been 1/2" longer and it would cover the tailgate a little further. When at an auto car wash the water sprays in at the tailgate some. About a foot to a foot and a half. I pulled it back about as far as I think it can and still cover up at cab end. The other thing I think could be better is the rubber weather stripping along the rails on top. Seems like it will dry out and become an issue in two or three years. I expect that at the price it should last a decade. Also the finish of the stripping up by the cab looks cheap because it hangs past and is just cut at a 45 degree angle. I have seen others that have nice corners and caps that look much better. Just looks cheap. Again for the price I was hoping for a little more. Love the fact it is made in the USA. That fact and to be honest a sale made me say it is the one I would purchase for my new F150. Very easy to install, feels very solid and I like everything else other than mentioned above. I will try to pull it back another 1/4" to 1/2" to see if I can help with the tailgate water and still not leak at the cab. Might end up trying to trim the rubber weather stripping to make it look cleaner. But probably won't because I would not want to cause a leak or void a warranty.

I read reviews, watched videos, engaged in discussions on the topic... and wound up buying this cover for my truck bed.I was still a bit nervous because of a few negative comments, but after having this on for a few months now, I LOVE IT!I'd say it keeps 99% of the weather out of the truck bed. I even put an old cardboard box in there to check after rains to see if it got wet. It only got wet (just a little) once and that was during a rainstorm with pretty high winds. It could be that the water actually got in through the rear gate - since that isn't waterproof.The thing I love the most about it is how easy it is to use. Many friends have covers where you need to loosen hand-screws to folder over each section of the cover. This one is SO easy. You can flip it up with just one hand if needed. The cabling system is an excellent design that makes this a breeze to use.I definitely recommend it.

Pros:1. Easy install. Search on YouTube and/or follow instructions that are included. Took 30 minutes2. Weatherproof: rain and car washes. Haven’t had a single leak. Very slight water at back and front but nothing that would damage or get anything in the bed wet.3. Mileage: haven’t noticed a large difference; however, it is easier to maintain a higher MPG. I would say it has added .3-.5 over a consistent time frame (have had the cover for 2 months and 800 miles).4. Price on Amazon was cheaper than every other truck website or the Gator website5. Arrived earlier than expectedCons:1. It cannot stay open at the 1/3 option. It’s either all the way closed or all the way open. Not much of a problem but depends on how often you haul large itemsOverall a great cover. Haven’t had a single issue with it. Personally don’t haul many large or heavy items so it works great for me. If your bed gets used daily or often consider a different cover. Otherwise this will absolutely get the job done.

I currently have a newer F150, my son has a few years older F150. I bought this Gator cover and subsequently gave it to my son for his F150. I bought the Lyon cover 5.5ft 67.1 inches Hard Tri-Fold which is far better. It is heavier, better made, and seals way better than the Gator. The Lyon has a wire that you pull to release the sections. The Lyon has these clips that secure the cover better. The Lyon is also cheaper in price.

I am not a super handy guy but installed these in my truck easily. Alignment and fit are very good. They seem pretty water proof just from weather, as I have not yet tested in a car wash (although they did not leak in a hand wash of the truck). I would recommend these as easy to install and easy to operate.

Everything fit perfectly other then having to adjust the latch so it locks a little better but that was easy to do.

Installation instructions are not great. Looks great and seals out weather well. I really like the folding function however would improve on the somewhat small cable that works the latches.
