They hold small bookshelf speakers. You can not mount anything larger than that or they will "sag" to face down. I gave an overall rating of 4 stars because: 1. + They did what they were advertised to do. 2. + You can aim the speaker where you want it to point. 3. + They are very easy to install. 4. + They have a good distance from the wall to allow you to make adjustments. 5. - After about a year they started to allow the speakers to "sag" down and adjusting the allen screws is difficult once mounted. I would still recommend this product but just keep in mind you may have to adjust the allen screws after a while to tighten them which may be difficult depending on where you mount them. I ordered it Apr 14, 2012.
