Pretty comfortable, good ventilation
I had a car seat cushion like this back in the '70s, and I liked it, so I was excited to see that they were still making them when I was looking for an ventilated office chair cushion. The cushion is pretty comfortable, you're using it on top of a soft cushion after all, and it does provide good ventilation. It seems pretty sturdy, the beads are double strung on nylon line, as advertised. However, the bungie cords are useless. They are nowhere near long enough to reach around a seat cushion. Worst of all, the aren't anchored to the cushion at all. They are simply attached by looping one end around the nylon line. So, if you try to stretch the bungie cords, you're putting stress directly on a small section of nylon line; no wonder people report the line breaking. Fortunately, they are easily detached and are unnecessary for use on an office chair. Simply lay the cushion down on the chair, it stays in place just fine. You get 2 cushions, one is enough to cover the area of the chair I sit on. It doesn't cover the entire seat cushion, but it does cover the area you plant your behind on.I do recommend this product, just be aware of some limitations.

Skeptical at first, turned two others into believers after a 1900 mile road trip.
Took them out before a 1900 mile ride up from the Central Valley to Oregon with my brother. Wow! Even with my Saddleman seat on my Triumph America, these beads make a world of difference as far as air flow and comfort. Other cushions seem hot, these have done nothing but promote air flow. I've sat on them so much that the paint is wearing a bit, but I would not knock down a star for that. That is normal wear and tear for you.Note that these are real wooden beads, and I ride with riding pants and jeans that are more comfortable. But even with thin slacks on, I can barely notice the beads are there. My brother enjoyed them so much on the Triumph Tiger he was riding, he let a friend borrow them during the trip... for an or or two before he was begging for them back! My friend went on his phone and bought the beads that second, I'm not kidding. These things work, and much cheaper than most gels.I've tried the Coleman gel seat cover, plush seat covers, thin air pads (nothing like the air hawk or nothing over fifty dollars), and this by far has been the best.

Great for ventilation
If you've ever ridden anywhere for an hour straight in summer, you understand how sweaty it can get in the seat. This lifts you off the seat and allows air to travel through, using wind to keep you cool and dry. It also works in the rain, allowing water to drain through. As for massage? I did not get that experience. After 3 hours on the bike, butt was kinda sore, but it was not really more than without it, so the cooling benefit made it worth it. I didn't slip around in the seat as I expected, so that was also good. It stays in place and does it job. Definitely worth the price.

not quite what I was looking for but do work as advertised and do it pretty well
Product arrived timely and is pretty much as advertised. It didn't exactly do what I was looking for (not the products fault). I seem to get sore at the tailbone and this product did relive the pressure there as I had hoped. Again, not the products fault, just wasn't what I was looking for. Probably should have ordered the air hawk instead. I will say for every other part of my rear end it did great, and is much cooler in the summer time to boot. I will not be returning these because I feel like I gambled on them and it's on me at this point. Besides, I may just use these for short trips, they work great for that.

Worked great in my desk chair.
I got this for my DX Racer Classic desk chair. Love the chair but the fabric was not breathable enough for me. I removed the bungee cords by un-looping them and dropped these into my chair and wow what a difference. No more over-heating or sweating to the seat. If you are a sweaty person who sweats while in your desk chair like me, these are just what you need. They were a bit smaller than I was expecting but the picture shows them sitting side by side in my chair. The black keeps them from looking too dorky and they work. They stay in place pretty well for me.

Great for airflow.
My leather gaming chair needed more airflow under me. I use the chair for work, 8 hours a day, and would have too much moisture on my seat after work. These did the trick and hold to my chair perfectly. The only issue is they get a bit sore on my cheeks by the end of the day. Worth it for the moisture reduction.

The concept is good but the basic construction is pretty lame
The concept is good but the basic construction is pretty lame. The "fishing line" used to lace all the wooden beads together is not strong enough. It broke in several places while attaching it to the chair (I did not over stress it). Hadn't even sat on it yet! I spent a couple hours and several feet of nylon cordage re-weaving the unit and connecting the two pieces into one piece to fit the chair seat. I had the time and material and just wanted to give it a try. We'll see how it lasts now. I gave it 3 stars because, again, the concept is good and it's comfortable. However, I would not buy it again.

Hooks are too big
Hooks are too big to contain the elastic string, so when the hooks are pulled to be put in place, the knot on the string pulls through.

Sub Par Quality
My overall assessment so far isn't all that great. The beads are quality but the straps and nylon line they use to keep beads together are light weight and I suspect will cause trouble over time. Good bang for the buck though! Where the nylon attaches to the hook broke in two the the hooks on one seat!

Mixed reviews
Husband likes his, but I don't care for mine. It doesn't attach very well to my seat, and so it bunches up, making it uncomfortable.

Good value
So far seat cover has performed as expected. Really didn't like the connecting hooks that were included. Great seat cover and you get 2 at this price.

Good value
As described, perhaps slightly smaller surface area than I expected but covers area needed. Have not yet tried on motorcycle, but works well on car seat.

Product is not functional
The product is sturdy and decently manufactured. But why not manufacture the product to actually fit the dimensions of your average office desk chair? I'm 160 lbs with a 32" waist. My posterior/thighs overhang by 2-3" each side of the bead seat. The tie downs are well made, but are not long enough. As you can see in the picture the tie downs pinch the desk chair. There are no instructions on how to properly attach the beaded seat to an office chair. Overall this can be a great product if designed to properly to fit and tie down to an actual office chair.
