Q: Are you able to use the iron sites as well ? is it open enough in the middle to use them ?

It was perfect and co-witnesses just fine for my application. Tried .83 almost but 1” was dead on and this also has a lot bigger opening that others to get your SWEET SPOT!!

No, this mount will raise an optic 1 inch higher than it would be if it were mount directly to the receiver. From mounting surface to mounting surface, it measures 1 inch.

Might depend on the sights you have but I can use/see my iron sights through this riser
